Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR By.D WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEARANCE DUE TO PNEUMONIA IN CILINAYA ROOM AT MANGUSADA HOSPITAL IN 2026 ABSTRACT According to data from the Bali Provincial Health Office in 2024, pneumonia cases reached 84.94%, an increase of 18.44% from the previous year (Bali Provincial Health Office, 2024). The purpose of this report is to determine the nursing care for children with ineffective airway clearance due to pneumonia in the Cilinaya Ward of Mangusada Hospital. This report was prepared using a case study method through a nursing process approach that includes the stages of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The subject in this case report is By. D. The results of the case report found that By. D experienced ineffective airway clearance related to the infection process as evidenced by experiencing shortness of breath and coughing. A nursing plan was identified for 4x24 hours with nursing implementation including airway management, respiratory monitoring, chest physiotherapy and chest physiotherapy education. The evaluation showed improved airway clearance, with the criteria for effective coughing increasing, sputum production and additional breath sounds decreasing, and respiratory frequency and breathing pattern improving. The conclusion of this report is that appropriate nursing care can increase the effectiveness of airway clearance in infants with pneumonia. It is expected that nurses can implement nursing interventions consistently and in a structured manner in accordance with nursing practice guidelines to improve the quality of patient care. Keywords: Nursing Care, Airway Clearance, Pneumonia ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA BY.D DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PNEUMONIA DI RUANG CILINAYA RSD MANGUSADA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Menurut data Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Bali pada tahun 2024, kasus pneumonia mencapai 84,94%, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 18,44% dari tahun sebelumnya (Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Bali, 2024). Salah satu masalah utamanya adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif yang diakibatkan oleh produksi sputum berlebih. Tujuan laporan ini adalah untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada anak dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat pneumonia di Ruang Cilinaya RSD Mangusada. Laporan ini disusun dengan metode studi kasus melalui pendekatan proses keperawatan yang mencakup tahap pengkajian, diagnosis, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Subjek dalam laporan kasus ini adalah By. D. Hasil laporan kasus didapatkan bahwa By. D mengalami bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif berhubungan dengan proses infeksi dibuktikan dengan mengalami sesak napas dan batuk. Rencana keperawatan diidentifikasi selama 4x24 jam dengan implementasi keperawatan meliputi manajemen jalan napas, pemantauan respirasi, fisioterapi dada dan edukasi fisioterapi dada. Evaluasi menunjukkan bersihan jalan napas meningkat, dengan kriteria hasil batuk efektif meningkat, produksi sputum dan bunyi napas tambahan menurun, serta frekuensi napas dan pola napas membaik. Simpulan laporan ini adalah asuhan keperawatan yang tepat dapat meningkatkan efektivitas bersihan jalan napas pada bayi dengan pneumonia. Diharapkan agar perawat bisa menerapkan intervensi keperawatan secara konsisten dan terstruktur sesuai dengan panduan praktik keperawatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pasien.
