Abstract

The application of Continuity of Care (COC) integrated with complementary midwifery care is a strategy to enhance comfort and reduce complaints during the perinatal period. In this case study, comprehensive midwifery care was provided to Mother "SA," 25 years old, primigravida, starting from 20 weeks and 5 days of gestation until 42 days postpartum at the Independent Midwifery Practice Komang Tri Yuliani during the period of May to October 2025. Data collection was performed using the triangulation method, including structured interviews, physical examination, direct observation, and documentation study. Throughout the antenatal period, the pregnancy was physiological with the application of the 12T standards, accompanied by complementary interventions such as effleurage massage and the use of a gym ball. In the intrapartum phase, labor was physiological with a duration of 9 hours for the first stage, 1 hour for the second stage, 5 minutes for the third stage, and a 2-hour monitoring period for the fourth stage. Complementary care in the form of effleurage massage was given for pain management. The baby was born in good condition, cried immediately, was actively moving, and weighed 2700 grams. Neonatal care included essential procedures and baby massage as a complementary therapy. In the postpartum period, the processes of uterine involution, lochia discharge, and lactation proceeded normally with the support of Kegel exercises and oxytocin massage. The mother chose a 3-month contraceptive injection postpartum. All care was provided according to standard midwifery procedures comprehensively and continuously, demonstrating the effectiveness of the COC approach combined with complementary therapy. Penerapan Continuity of Care (COC) yang terintegrasi dengan asuhan kebidanan komplementer merupakan strategi untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan mengurangi keluhan selama masa perinatal. Pada studi kasus ini, asuhan kebidanan komprehensif diberikan kepada Ibu "SA", usia 25 tahun, primigravida, mulai dari kehamilan 20 minggu 5 hari hingga 42 hari masa nifas di Praktik Mandiri Bidan Komang Tri Yuliani selama periode Mei hingga Oktober 2025. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode triangulasi meliputi wawancara terstruktur, pemeriksaan fisik, observasi langsung, dan studi dokumentasi. Selama masa antenatal, kehamilan berlangsung fisiologis dengan penerapan standar 12T disertai intervensi komplementer effleurage massage dan penggunaan gymball. Pada fase persalinan berlangsung fisiologis dengan durasi kala I: 9 jam, kala II: 1 jam, kala III: 5 menit, dan pemantauan kala IV: 2 jam. Bayi lahir dengan kondisi baik, segera menangis, gerak aktif, dan berat badan 2700 gram. Asuhan neonatus mencakup prosedur esensial dan pijat bayi sebagai terapi komplementer. Asuhan komplementer berupa effleurage massage diberikan untuk manajemen nyeri. Dalam masa nifas, proses involusi uterus, pengeluaran lokia, dan laktasi berlangsung normal dengan dukungan senam kegel dan pijat oksitosin. Ibu memilih kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan pasca persalinan.
