Abstract
ABSTRACT Acute pain is a common complication after cesarean section and may hinder recovery. Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean Surgery (ERACS) is a multimodal approach designed to accelerate postoperative recovery through early mobilization and effective pain management. This study aims to describe nursing care provided to Mrs. D (P3003), a postpartum patient who experienced acute pain following a cesarean section using the ERACS protocol at Bali Jimbaran General Hospital. A descriptive case study approach was used, following the nursing care process: assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Initial assessment revealed a pain score of 4 on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and complaints of severe lower abdominal pain. The primary nursing diagnosis was acute pain related to surgical procedures. Interventions included pain management (non-pharmacological techniques, education, and collaboration on analgesic use) and early mobilization. Nursing actions were implemented over four days with consistent monitoring. Evaluation showed decreased pain levels, increased patient comfort, and improved physical mobility. The results support that systematic nursing care combined with the ERACS protocol effectively reduces acute pain and accelerates recovery in post-cesarean patients. Keywords: Acute pain, cesarean section, ERACS, nursing care, early mobilization ABSTRAK Nyeri akut merupakan salah satu komplikasi yang sering terjadi pasca operasi sektio sesarea dan dapat menghambat proses pemulihan.
