Abstract
PERBEDAAN PENGETAHUAN DAN PENERAPAN KONSUMSI PROTEIN PADA IBU HAMIL SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN EDUKASI NUTRISI DENGAN MEDIA BOOKLET Studi Dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas I Dinas Kesehatan Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan ABSTRAK World Health Organization (WHO) mencatat 40% kematian ibu di negara berkembang berkaitan dengan kekurangan energi kronis. Prevalensi KEK pada ibu hamil di Indonesia sebanyak 16,9%, angka tersebut belum mencapai target 10% yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia dalam Rencana Strategis Kemenkes 2024. Salah satu metode edukasi untuk mencegah terjadinya kejadian KEK adalah edukasi gizi yang dapat dilakukan dengan tatap muka disertai dengan pemberian booklet. Penelitian ini menganalisis perbedaan pengetahuan dan penerapan konsumsi protein ibu hamil sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi nutrisi dengan media booklet yang dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret sampai April tahun 2025. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan one grup pretest- posttest sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan edukasi nutrisi dengan media booklet menunjukkan ibu hamil memiliki nilai pengetahuan terendah 47 dan nilai tertinggi 80 dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 66,74 serta sebagian besar ibu memiliki penerapan konsumsi protein yang tidak sesuai. Sesudah diberikan edukasi nutrisi dengan media booklet menunjukkan ibu hamil memiliki nilai pengetahuan terendah 60 dan nilai tertinggi 93 dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 76,62 serta sebagian besar ibu memiliki penerapan konsumsi protein yang sesuai. Hasil Uji Wilcoxon menunjukan nilai p value 0,000 < 0,05, hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengetahuan dan penerapan konsumsi protein pada ibu hamil sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi nutrisi dengan media booklet. The prevalence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) among pregnant women in Indonesia is 16.9%, a figure that has not yet reached the target of 10% set by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 Ministry of Health Strategic Plan. One method of education to prevent CED is nutrition education which can be conducted face-to-face accompanied by the provision of booklets. This research analyzes the differences in knowledge and application of protein consumption among pregnant women before and after receiving nutrition education using booklets, carried out from March to April. This type of research uses a one group pretest-posttest approach before and after the intervention. The results of this study indicate that before being provided with nutrition education using a booklet, pregnant women had a lowest knowledge score of 47 and the highest score of 80, with an average score of 66.74, and the majority of mothers had an inappropriate protein consumption application. After being provided with nutrition education using a booklet, pregnant women had a lowest knowledge score of 60 and the highest score of 93, with an average score of 76.62, and the majority of mothers had an appropriate protein consumption application. The Wilcoxon test results showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a difference in knowledge and application of protein consumption among pregnant women before and after nutrition education was provided using booklet media. The researcher hopes that this study can be beneficial for the development of knowledge, pregnant women, healthcare services, and the community.
