Abstract

Primigravida women are at risk of physical and psychological discomfort due to limited knowledge about pregnancy and antenatal care (ANC), leading to low health service visits and increased risk of maternal and neonatal complications. This case study aims to evaluate the care provided to Mrs. "AD" from the second trimester through postpartum and newborn periods based on standards. Data collection included interviews, examinations, observations, and documentation. The pregnancy progressed physiologically, and ANC was provided according to standards. The mother gave birth vaginally without complications, supported by respectful maternity care and her husband. The postpartum period proceeded normally, with four visits covering uterine involution, lochia, and lactation. The baby was a normal neonate and received comprehensive care during four neonatal visits, including stimulation, affection, and nurturing (Asah, Asih, Asuh). Complementary care was also provided as needed. Midwives are expected to offer standard, authorized care, supporting the reduction of maternal and infant mortality rates at the primary healthcare level.
