Abstract
Abstract. One of effort to improve knowledge, attitude and skill is coaching method. This study aims to find out the benefit of coaching method toward improvement of skill of kangaroo care. This study was one group pre test and post test design. Sample at this study were all mother who have low birth weight infant by number of sample were 40 people by using accidental sampling. Hypothesis at this study with wilcoxom test, the mean of skill before given coaching method was 32,67. And after method was 71,25. Statistic value obtained p=0,00 its mean there was significant benefit between coaching method toward improvement of skill of kangaroo care at mother’s low birth weight infant in perinatology (p=0,00). The researcher recommend the midwifery in Badung hospital should adopt coaching method in health promotion program. Keywords : Coachin ; Skills ; Kangaroo Care
