Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an important indicator in the health sector in Indonesia. Based on data, AKI in this country was recorded at 189 per 100,000 live births. One of the causes of high AKI is complications experienced by pregnant women due to too young pregnancy. Too young pregnancy poses a very high risk of maternal and infant mortality, for which it is necessary to prepare for childbirth. Childbirth preparation is the preparation needed by pregnant women to face pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period. This preparation includes physical, emotional, and logistical aspects that need to be considered by pregnant women and their families. The purpose of this study is to find out the Overview of the Readiness of Young Pregnant Women to Face Childbirth at the Kubu II Health Center. This research was conducted from April 25 to May 9, 2025. This type of research is a quantitative research with a Cross Sectional approach design, using a questionnaire sheet in the form of a checklist with a sample of 35 people. The sampling technique of this study is with the total sampling method. The results of the study conducted on 35 people found that as many as 22 people (62.9%) did not have physical readiness to face childbirth. A total of 25 people (71.4%) were not psychologically prepared to face childbirth and as many as 26 people (74.3%) were not financially ready. The advice that can be given is the need to strengthen education and support from families for young pregnant women in preparing for childbirth.
