Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS AT UPTD PUSKESMAS NUSA PENIDA 1 ABSTRACT Hypertension has a prevalence that increases with age in Indonesia, there are around 63 million cases of active hypertension with a mortality rate reaching 427,318 people. One of the risk factors for hypertension is hyperglycemia, which is an excessive increase in blood sugar levels. This study aims to determine the random blood glucose levels in hypertension patients at UPTD Puskesmas Nusa Penida 1. This type of research is descriptive with a sample of 42 respondents selected by purposive sampling and meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and interviews to determine the characteristics of respondents including age, gender, and body mass index (BMI). Examination of random blood glucose levels was carried out using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method using capillary blood. Respondent characteristics show that the age of Pre-elderly (45-59 years) is 47.62%, female gender is 57.14%, and BMI is in the normal category is 47,62%. The results show that the normal blood glucose levels are 61,90% and the high category is 38,10%.It is recommended that hypertension sufferers routinely check their blood pressure and blood glucose levels, as well as maintain diet and physical activity to prevent further complications Keywords: hypertension,random blood glucose. GAMBARAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH SEWAKTU PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI UPTD PUSKESMAS NUSA PENIDA 1 ABSTRAK Hipertensi memiliki prevalensi yang meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia di Indonesia, terdapat sekitar 63 juta kasus hipertensi aktif dengan angka kematian mencapai 427.318 jiwa. Salah satu faktor risiko hipertensi adalah hiperglikemia, yaitu peningkatan kadar gula darah secara berlebihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada penderita hipertensi di UPTD Puskesmas Nusa Penida 1. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 42 responden yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi serta eksklusi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT). Pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu dilakukan dengan metode Point of Care Testing (POCT) menggunakan darah kapiler. Karakteristik responden menunjukkan usia Pra lansia (45-59 tahun) sebanyak 47,62%, jenis kelamin perempuan 57,14%, dan IMT kategori normal sebanyak 47,62%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kadar glukosa darah sewaktu normal sebanyak 61,90% dan kategori tinggi sebanyak 38,10%. Disarankan agar penderita hipertensi rutin memeriksakan tekanan darah dan kadar glukosa darah, serta menjaga pola makan dan aktivitas fisik untuk mencegah komplikasi lebih lanjut.
