Abstract

Abstract. Flies are insects that can transmit diseases to humans. Additionally flies can disrupt human life, such as, could disrupt the peace and transmit the disease is biologically and mechanically. This study uses a dry clove flowers as much as 100 grams mixed with water as much as two cups (200 ml), then boiled and also without the use of boiled water clove (use plain water) same as controls. Every boiling water clove and controls can be calculated as consider probability during 30 second with 10 applications of measuring. The purpose of this research is to know about the effect of interest boiling water clove for fly density. This research used is true experiment studies with The-Postest-Only Control Group Design Same Subject. The density of flies in the control group (sprayed water), which ranged from 12 to 16 head / block grill while the density of flies in the treated group (sprayed boiling water clove), ranging from 8 to 11 head / block grill. From the results of the average density of flies in the treated group (sprayed boiling water clove) is smaller than in controls (spray water). Given the density of flies that are still said to be high, it is advisable to society in Pukuh village can keep the environment clean and can take advantage of boiling water clove as an alternative to reduce the density of flies.
