Abstract

OVERVIEW OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND HYGIENE OF TEETH AND ORAL HYGIENE IN PATIENTS WHO VISIT PRIVATE DENTIST PRACTICE UBUNG KAJA IN 2025 Abstract Dental and oral health is part of the health of the body that cannot be separated from each other because it will affect the overall health of the body. Maintaining oral hygiene is very important in order to avoid attacks of diseases in the oral cavity. This study aims to find out the overview of the level of knowledge and hygiene of teeth and mouth in patients who visit the Ubung Kaja Private Dentist Practice in 2025. This study uses a descriptive method with univariate statistical analysis in the form of frequency and average. The number of respondents is 32 patients who visit the Dentist Practice in 2025. Using the total population method as a sample. The results showed that 21 patients (87.5%) had a level of knowledge in the good category. The average value of dental and oral knowledge of patients who visited (85.5%) was in the good category. The results of dental and oral hygiene examinations in patients showed that 21 patients (65.6%) had a good level of dental and oral hygiene status. The average dental and oral hygiene is (1.11) with good criteria. It can be concluded that the level of knowledge is in line with the level of dental and oral hygiene needs to continue to be educated and understood so that everyone still understands the importance of maintaining dental and oral hygiene and the importance of having a dental check-up at least once every 6 months. Keywords: Knowledge, Dental and Oral Hygiene, Dental and Oral Health GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA PASIEN YANG BERKUNJUNG DI PRAKTIK DOKTER GIGI SWASTA UBUNG KAJA TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian dari kesehatan tubuh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dan lainnya karena akan memengaruhi kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan. Menjaga kebersihan mulut sangatlah penting agar dapat terhindar dari serangan penyakit yang ada di rongga mulut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan dan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada pasien yang berkunjung di Praktik Dokter Gigi Swasta Ubung Kaja Tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriftif dengan analisis statistik univariat berupa frekuensi dan rata-rata. Jumlah responden sebanyak 32 pasien yang berkunjung di Praktik Dokter Gigi tahun 2025. Menggunakan metode total populasi sebagai sample. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 21 pasien (87,5%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dalam kategori baik. Rata-rata nilai pengetahuan kaberihan gigi dan mulut pasien yang berkunjung (85,5%) dengan kategori baik. Hasil pemeriksaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada pasien bahwa 21 pasien (65,6%) memiliki tingkat status kebersihan gigi dan mulut kategori baik. Rata-rata kebersihan gigi dan mulut yaitu (1,11) dengan kriteria baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan selaras dengan tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut perlu terus di beri edukasi dan pemahaman agar tetap setiap orang memahami pentingnya menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta penting memeriksakan gigi ke pelayanan kesehatan gigi minimal 6 bulan sekali.
