Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR By.A WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAYS CLEARANCE DUE TO PNEUMONIA IN AYODYA ROOM, 2ND FLOOR, SANJIWANI HOSPITAL IN 2025 ABSTRACT Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung parenchyma characterized by symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. One of the main nursing problems is ineffective airway clearance. The aim of this case report is to describe the implementation of nursing care for a child with ineffective airway clearance due to pneumonia at Sanjiwani Regional Hospital. The sample in this case report was a child with pneumonia who met the inclusion criteria. The case is presented descriptively to illustrate the nursing process comprehensively. Assessment results showed the main complaint was productive cough. The identified nursing diagnosis was ineffective airway clearance. Interventions provided included airway management and administration of inhalation medications. The implementation was carried out over 5 days. The results of this case report showed a decrease in sputum production, reduced wheezing/rhonchi, decreased dyspnea, reduced orthopnea, decreased restlessness, improved respiratory rate, and improved breathing pattern. In conclusion, there was a significant improvement in the patient's airway condition. These results indicate that the nursing interventions provided were effective in improving airway clearance in children with pneumonia. Keywords: Pneumonia, Airway Clearance, Nursing Care ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA By.A DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PNEUMONIA DI RUANG AYODYA LT 2 RSUD SANJIWANI TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Pneumonia adalah peradangan pada parenkim paru yang memiliki gejala khas berupa demam, batuk dan sesak napas. Salah satu masalah utamanya adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Tujuan laporan kasus ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan pada anak dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat pneumonia di RSUD Sanjiwani. Sampel pada laporan kasus ini adalah seorang anak dengan pneumonia yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Laporan kasus disajikan secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan proses keperawatan secara utuh. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan keluhan utama berupa batuk berdahak. Diagnosis keperawatan yang diidentifikasi adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Intervensi yang diberikan meliputi manajemen jalan napas, pemberian obat inhalasi. Implementasi dilakukan selama 5 hari. Hasil laporan kasus ini menunjukkan bahwa produksi spuntum menurun, mengi/ronchi menurun, dispnea menurun, ortopnea menurun, gelisah menurun, frekuensi napas membaik, pola napas membaik. Simpulan yang didapatkan yaitu terdapat perbaikan signifikan pada kondisi jalan napas pasien. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi keperawatan yang diberikan efektif dalam meningkatkan bersihan jalan napas pada anak dengan pneumonia.
