Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MR. I WITH ANXIETY DUE TO TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS (Case Report Conducted in the Work Area of UPTD Puskesmas I, Health Department of West Denpasar Subdistrict in 2025) ABSTRACT Anxiety can increase cortisol levels, which can affect eating patterns, lead to weight gain, and result in type 2 diabetes mellitus. People with type 2 diabetes mellitus experience anxiety because they are afraid of the consequences of their condition (Angriani and Baharuddin, 2020). This case report describes Mr. I, a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus who met the inclusion criteria and is presented descriptively. The aim is to understand nursing care for patients with anxiety. The assessment results revealed that the patient expressed confusion and worry about his condition, appeared restless, had difficulty sleeping, was oriented to the past, And an assessment was conducted using the HARS questionnaire, yielding a score of 22 points in the moderate anxiety category. The nursing diagnosis formulated is anxiety (D.0080) with relaxation techniques intervention using music therapy. After providing nursing care for five days with a duration of 15 minutes, the patient reported that their confusion and anxiety had significantly decreased, restlessness was reduced, and orientation to the past had improved. From the case report, it was concluded that nursing care can be quite effective in helping to address anxiety issues in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as evidenced by the results of the HARS questionnaire, which scored 18 points in the mild anxiety category. This can serve as a reference for nursing services at UPTD Puskesmas I of the West Denpasar Health Office. Keywords: Nursing Care, Anxiety, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA TN. I DENGAN ANSIETAS AKIBAT DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 (Laporan Kasus Dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas I Dinas Kesehatan Kecamatan Denpasar Barat Tahun 2025) ABSTRAK Ansietas dapat meningkatkan kadar kortisol, yang dapat memengaruhi pola makan, menyebabkan penambahan berat badan, dan mengakibatkan diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Orang dengan diabetes mellitus tipe 2 mengalami ansietas karena mereka takut akan konsekuensi dari kondisi mereka (Angriani and Baharuddin, 2020). Laporan kasus ini membahas Tn. I, penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan ansietas. Hasil pengkajian ditemukan berupa pasien mengatakan bingung dan khawatir akan kondisinya, tampak gelisah, sulit tidur, berorientasi pada masa lalu, dan dilakukan pengkajian menggunakan kuisioner HARS dengan hasil 22 poin dalam kategori kecemasan sedang. Diagnosis keperawatan yang dirumuskan adalah ansietas (D.0080) dengan intervensi teknik relaksasi dengan terapi musik. Setelah dilakukan asuhan keperawatan selama lima hari dengan durasi 15 menit pasien mengatakan kebingungan dan kekhawatiran pasien cukup berkurang, gelisah berkurang, dan orientasi pada masa lalu membaik. Dari laporan kasus tersebut disimpulkan bahwa asuhan keperawatan dapat cukup efektif dalam membantu mengatasi masalah ansietas pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus tipe 2 dibuktikan dengan hasil dari kuisioner HARS dengan hasil 18 poin dalam kategori kecemasan ringan. Dan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pelayanan keperawatan di UPTD Puskesmas I Dinas Kesehatan Kecamatan Denpasar Barat. Kata Kunci : Asuhan Keperawatan, Ansietas, Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2
