Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR HYPERTHERMIA WITH RED ONION COMPRESS AND VIRGIN COCONUT OIL IN CHILDREN WITH DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER IN CILINAYA ROOM MANGUSADA GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Hyperthermia is a child's bodily defense mechanism in response to infection or the entry of foreign substances into the body. A child is said to have hyperthermia when their body temperature exceeds 37.5°C. The objective of this Final Scientific Nursing Project is to determine the nursing care provided for hyperthermia using red onion compresses and Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) in children with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the Cilinaya Room at Mangusada Regional Hospital in 2025.The results of the study revealed that the patient reported having a fever for the past three days, difficulty eating due to nausea, feelings of weakness and body warmth, headaches and body aches, muscle pain throughout the body, and redness on the facial skin. Vital signs examination showed temperature: 38.8°C, pulse: 105 beats/minute, respiration: 20 breaths/minute, blood Pressure: 100/70 mmHg. Laboratory test results showed a platelet count (PLT) of 51 x 10³/uL. The nursing diagnosis was related to the disease process (viremia), evidenced by the patient's elevated body temperature (38.8°C), redness of facial skin, tachycardia (105 beats/minute), and warm skin. The nursing care plan used the expected outcome based on SLKI (Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards) labeled improved thermoregulation, with the nursing intervention labeled hyperthermia management. The nursing implementation involved red onion compress therapy combined with Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) for three consecutive days (3 x 24 hours)002EIn conclusion, the innovative therapy administered to the patient successfully reduced the child's body temperature to normal, at 36.8°C. Keywords: Hyperthermia, DHF, Red Onion Compress ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN HIPERTERMIA DENGAN KOMPRES BAWANG MERAH DAN VIRGIN COCONUT OIL PADA ANAK DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER DI RUANG CILINAYA RSD MANGUSADA ABSTRAK Hipertermia merupakan mekanisme pertahanan tubuh anak sebagai respon imun terhadap infeksi atau masuknya zat asing ke dalam tubuh. Anak dikatakan hipertermia ketika suhu tubuh melebihi 37,50C. Tujuan Penelitian Karya Ilmiah Akhir Ners ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana asuhan keperawatan hipertermia dengan kompres bawang merah dan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) pada anak Denue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) di Ruang Cilinaya RSD Mangusada tahun 2025. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pasien pasien mengatakan demam sejak 3 hari yang lalu, susah makan karena merasa mual, merasa lemas dan badan terasa hangat, sakit kepala dan pegal-pegal, nyeri otot di seluruh badan, kulit wajah tampak kemerahan, pemeriksaan tanda tanda vital didapatkan Suhu : 38,8 C, Nadi : 105 x/menit, Respirasi : 20 x/menit, Tekanan Darah 100/70 mmHg dan hasil pemeriksaan laboratoirum didapatkan PLT : 51 10^3/uL dengan diagnosa keperawatan berhubungan dengan proses penyakit (viremia) dibuktikan dengan suhu tubuh pasien diatas nilai normao (38,80C), kulit wajah tampak merah, takikardi (105 x/menit), kulit pasien terasa hangat. Rencana keperawatan menggunakan luaran SLKI dengan label termoregulasi membaik dan label intervensi keperawatan yaitu manajemen hipertermia. Implementasi keperawatan menggunakan terapi kompres bawang merah dan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) selama 3x24 jam. Dengan kesimpulan terapi inovasi yang diberikan kepada An.D mampu menurunkan suhu tubuh An.D menjadi normal yaitu 36,80C. Kata Kunci : Hipertermia, DHF, Kompres Bawang Merah
