Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR ACUTE PAIN WITH RHEUMATIC EXERCISE THERAPY IN COMBINATION WITH LAVENDER AROMATHERAPY IN ELDERLY WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS Study Conducted in the Working Area of UPTD Puskesmas I Denpasar Selatan in 2025 Ni Wayan Evi Dharma Kerti Nursing Profession Study Program, Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email: kertievidharma@gmail.com ABSTRACT Acute pain is a sensory or emotional experience associated with tissue damage lasting less than 3 months. The purpose of this study was to determine nursing care for acute pain in rheumatoid arthritis patients by providing rheumatic exercise therapy combined with lavender aromatherapy in the form of candles in the UPTD Puskesmas I South Denpasar Area. This writing uses a descriptive analysis method with a data collection technique with a case study carried out on February 18-21, 2025. The subjects of this study were 2 rheumatoid arthritis patients experiencing acute pain. The results of the assessment obtained both patients with complaints of pain, pain scale 5 and 6, complained of pain, looked restless, looked grimacing, acted protectively and increased pulse rate. The nursing diagnosis is acute pain related to physiological injury agents. The innovation intervention used is rheumatic exercise therapy combined with lavender aromatherapy in the form of candles. Implementation is carried out for 4 consecutive days for 15 minutes. The evaluation was conducted on February 21, the results showed that the pain levels of both patients decreased from a scale of 5 and 6 to a scale of 3 and 4. The conclusion is that rheumatic exercise therapy combined with lavender aromatherapy can reduce pain in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Suggestions for the Denpasar Selatan I Health Center, this therapy can be used as a reference in providing non-pharmacological therapy to reduce acute pain in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui asuhan keperawatan nyeri akut pada pasien rheumatoid arthritis dengan pemberian terapi senam rematik kombinasi dengan aromateri lavender yang sudah dalam bentuk lilin di Wilayah UPTD Puskesmas I Denpasar Selatan. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada 18-21 Februari 2025. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pasien rheumatoid arthritis yang mengalami nyeri akut berjumlah 2 orang. Hasil pengkajian didapatkan kedua pasien dengan keluhan nyeri, skala nyeri 5 dan 6, mengeluh nyeri, tampak gelisah, tampak meringis, bersikap protektif dan frekuensi nadi meningkat. Diagnosis keperawatan yaitu nyeri akut berhubungan dengan agen pencedera fisiologis. Intervensi inovasi yang digunakan adalah terapi senam rematik kombinasi dengan aromaterapi lavender yang sudah dalam bentuk lilin. Implementasi dilakukan 1 kali sehari selama 4 hari berturut-turut dengan durasi15 menit. Evaluasi dilakukan pada 21 Februari didapatkan hasil tingkat nyeri kedua pasien menurun dari skala 5 dan 6 menjadi skala 3 dan 4. Kesimpulannya yaitu terapi senam rematik kombinasi dengan aromaterapi lavender dapat menurunkan nyeri pada pasien rheumatoid arthritis. Saran bagi puskesmas I Denpasar Selatan terapi ini dapat dijadikan referensi dalam memberikan terapi non farmakologis untuk menurunkan nyeri akut pasien rheumatoid arthritis Kata kunci: Nyeri akut, Senam rematik, Rheumatoid Arthritis
