Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR BABY MRS.W WITH PROBLEMS INEFFECTIVE BREATHING PATTERNS DUE TO ASPHYXIA IN THE NICU ROOM RSD MANGUSADA YEAR 2025 ABSTRACT The World Health Organization and Indonesian Health Profile, state that asphyxia at birth is estimated at 900,000 deaths each year and is one of leading causes of newborn death. Asphyxia is characterized by a newborn's failure to breathe spontaneously, regularly, and adequately after birth, often accompanied by increased respiratory frequency. This report aims to describe the nursing care provided to an infant with ineffective breathing patterns due to asphyxia. The report uses a descriptive method, focusing on a one subject who met specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection involved interviews with families and nurses, observation of the baby, and review of medical records using a pediatric nursing care format. The assessment revealed a weak general condition, shortness of breath, chest retraction, and abnormal breathing patterns. The nursing diagnosis was ineffective breathing patterns. Interventions included airway management, respiration monitoring, and ventilation support. Implementation was carried out for five days to get results improved breathing patterns and need to monitor the condition of infants experiencing ineffective breathing patterns with the help of appropriate oxygen administration. Based on the results of the report, it is concluded that nursing care for five days can help overcome the problem of breathing patterns. Keywords: Asphyxia, ineffective breathing pattern ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN BAYI NY.W DENGAN MASALAH POLA NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT ASFIKSIA DI RUANG NICU RSD MANGUSADA TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK World Health Organization dan Profil Kesehatan Indonesia, menyatakan asfiksia saat lahir diperkirakan 900.000 kematian setiap tahunnya dan merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian bayi baru lahir. Asfiksia adalah kondisi bayi baru lahir yang gagal bernapas secara spontan, teratur, dan adekuat saat setelah lahir disertai peningkatan frekuensi napas dalam waktu singkat. Laporan ini bertujuan melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan bayi pada masalah pola napas tidak efektif akibat asfiksia. Laporan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan berorientasi terhadap asuhan keperawatan yang memfokuskan analisis terhadap satu subjek sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan format asuhan keperawatan anak melaui wawancara kepada keluarga dan perawat, observasi bayi, serta data penunjang diperoleh melalui rekam medis. Hasil pengkajian ditemukan kondisi umum bayi lemah, mengalami sesak napas, adanya retraksi dada, ekspirasi bayi tampak lama dengan tarikan napas cepat dan dangkal. Diagnosis keperawatan yang dirumuskan pola napas tidak efektif. Intervensi yang diberikan yaitu manajemen jalan napas, pemantauan respirasi dan dukungan ventilasi. Implementasi dilakukan selama lima hari mendapatkan hasil pola napas membaik dan perlunya pemantauan kondisi bayi yang mengalami pola napas tidak efektif dengan bantuan pemberian oksigen yang sesuai. Berdasarkan hasil laporan disimpulkan bahwa asuhan keperawatan selama lima hari dapat membantu mengatasi masalah pola napas tidak efektif. Kata kunci : Asfiksia, Pola Napas Tidak Efektif
