Abstract

OVERVIEW OF WASTE MANAGEMENT AT SINDU BEACH SANUR VILLAGE SOUTH DENPASAR DISTRICT IN 2024 ABSTRACT This research aims to provide an overview of waste management at Sindu Beach, Sanur Village, South Denpasar District in 2024. Waste management in coastal areas is an important issue because of its impact on the environment and tourist comfort. Descriptive methods are used in this research to analyze aspects of waste generation, collection, transportation and final disposal. Data was collected through direct observation, interviews with cleaning staff, and questionnaires to local residents and beach visitors. The research results show that most of the rubbish on Sindu Beach comes from the activities of traders and visitors, as well as rubbish sent from the sea. The most dominant types of waste are plastic, tree branches and leaves.Waste collection is carried out using plastic bags or trash cans placed in strategic areas.
