Abstract

THE DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN MECHANIC AT TABANAN DISTRICT, BALI ABSTRACT Background: Mechanic is one place where pollution, gas disposal and waste from vehicles contain heavy metals such as lead which can endanger the health of the body, one of which is anemia. Anemia is a condition of decreasing the mass number of erythrocytes indicated by a decrease in hemoglobin levels. In the world, the prevalence of anemia is 40-88%. In Indonesia, the prevalence of anemia nationally in all age groups is 21.70%. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of hemoglobin levels in the blood of mechanic in Tabanan District, Bali. Method: This research method uses a type of quantitative descriptive research involving 31 respondents obtained through simple random sampling techniques. The study will be conducted in April 2024.
