Abstract

THE EFFECT OF DIRECT HOUSE SANITATION COUNSELING ON INCREASING MOTHERS' KNOWLEDGE AND ACTIONS STUNTING TODDLER 2024 The study was conducted in the Puskesmas Pupuan Work Area In Tabanan Regency ABSTRACT Sanitation is one of the most important aspects in supporting the interests of society, because it is directly related to health problems, people's lifestyle, environmental conditions and daily living comfort. The physical environment and cleanliness around the house can have a significant impact on the health of the occupants of the house, including the nutritional status of children under five. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of direct Home Sanitation education on increasing the knowledge and actions of mothers of stunting toddlers in preventing stunting at the Pupuan 2 Community Health Center. This type of research is quasi-experimental and the research design used is One-Group Pretest- Posttest. The sample population was 37 mothers of stunted toddlers. The outreach process is carried out by means of counseling and giving leaflets to mothers of toddlers. It was found that the average value of mother's knowledge before counseling was 48.65 and after counseling it changed to 65.00 and the average value of previous actions was 302.16, increasing to 383.51. The value of the paired t-test statistical test results, the knowledge sig.tailed2 value was 0.000 < 0.05 and the p value of the action is 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of providing home environmental sanitation education on the knowledge and actions of mothers of toddlers. It is hoped that the Pupuan II Community Health Center can provide education regarding home environmental sanitation and environmental health inspections on a regular and scheduled basis to the community, especially homes with toddlers.
