Abstract

ABSTRACT Gout or gout is a type of arthritis that occurs due to a buildup of uric acid crystals. This condition can occur in any joint, such as the ankle and knee. The aim of this research is to determine nursing care for acute pain using bay leaf boiled water therapy for elderly people with gout in Banjar Kwanji, Dalung Village. The results of the study on Mr. S and Mrs. LT, it was found that the patient complained of pain in the ankle, the pain scale for Mr. S is 6 (0-10), the results of the uric acid examination are 10.9 mg/dL and the pain scale for Mrs. LT 5 (0-10) uric acid test results 8.9 mg/dL. The intervention provided was pain management by focusing on bay leaf boiled water therapy, drunk twice a day in the morning and evening for 3 days. Nursing evaluation obtained by Mr. S is the pain scale decreasing to 2 (0-10) with the results of the uric acid examination after 3 days decreasing to 7.8 mg/dL, and in Mrs. LT experienced a decrease in the pain scale to 1 (0-10) and the results of the uric acid examination decreased by 6.5 mg/dL. Giving bay leaf boiled water therapy was effective in reducing pain intensity and uric acid levels within 3 days. It is hoped that bay leaf boiled water therapy will be an alternative in reducing pain intensity and uric acid levels for elderly people with gout. Keywords: Acute pain, gout, bay leaf boiled water ABSTRAK Penyakit asam urat atau gout adalah salah satu jenis radang sendi yang terjadi karena adanya penumpukan kristal asam urat. Kondisi ini dapat terjadi pada sendi mana pun, seperti pergelangan kaki dan lutut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Asuhan Keperawatan Nyeri Akut Dengan Terapi Air Rebusan Daun Salam Pada Lansia Dengan Asam Urat Di Banjar Kwanji Desa Dalung. Hasil pengkajian pada Tn. S dan Ny. LT, didapatkan pasien mengeluh nyeri pada pergelangan kaki, skala nyeri pada Tn. S adalah 6 (0-10), hasil pemeriksaan asam urat 10,9 mg/dL dan skala nyeri pada Ny. LT 5 (0-10) hasil pemeriksaan asam urat 8,9 mg/dL. Intervensi yang diberikan yaitu manajemen nyeri dengan memfokuskan terapi air rebusan daun salam diminum 2 kali sehari pagi dan sore selama 3 hari. Evaluasi keperawatan diperoleh Tn. S adalah skala nyeri menurun menjadi 2 (0-10) dengan hasil pemeriksaan asam urat setelah 3 hari menurun menjadi 7,8 mg/dL, dan pada Ny. LT mengalami penurunan skala nyeri menjadi 1 (0-10) dan hasil pemeriksaan asam urat menurun 6,5 mg/dL, Pemberian terapi air rebusan daun salam efektif menurunkan intensitas nyeri dan kadar asam urat dalam waktu 3 hari. Diharapkan terapi air rebusan daun salam menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam menurunkan intensitas nyeri dan kadar asam urat bagi lansia dengan asam urat.
