Abstract
OVERVIEW OF TOFU WASTE MANAGEMENT AT TOFU FACTORY REJA SANGEH, ABIANSEMAL DISTRICT BADUNG REGENCY YEAR 2024 ABSTRACT Processing will produce waste or residues that can be liquid or solid waste. High levels of BOD in wastewater can pollute the environment. This study aims to find out the picture of waste management knowledge and BOD levels at Tahu Reja Sangeh Factory. This study is descriptive, which is to look at the management of waste and the level of BOD in industrial wastewater. The results of the research show that solid waste is sold or given to the local population for livestock feed, while liquid waste is discharged through special pipes and disposed of in the resumption well. The first BOD examination yielded 1,300 mg/l, the second yielded 1,200 mg/l, and the third yielded 1,100 mg/l. Three such examination results were compared with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia No. 5 Year 2014 on Waste Water Baku. The results obtained did not meet the requirements or exceed the standards of quality. The advice that the author can give is that managers should pay more attention to waste management and conduct management to reduce the level of wastewater BOD before discharging it into the environment.
