Abstract

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE USE OF HORMONAL CONTRACEPTIONS WITH THE INCIDENT OF BREAST CANCER IN BULELENG DISTRICT HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Breast cancer is a cell in the breast that grows and develops uncontrollably. One of the causes of breast cancer is the use of long-term hormonal contraception. The use of hormonal contraception for >4 years can increase the risk of breast cancer by 1.52 times. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and the incidence of breast cancer at Buleleng District Hospital. This type of research is quantitative using an observational research design with a retrospective approach. In this study, the number of samples was 40, where these respondents would be divided into 2 for the case group of 20 people and the control group of 20 people with a sampling technique using purposive sampling and the research instrument using an interview sheet. The results of the study using the chi square statistical test, the significance or probability value (p) obtained a value of p = 0.01 (p <0.05) which means that there is a relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and the incidence of breast cancer at Buleleng District Hospital. Keywords: Breast cancer, contraception and hormonal HUBUNGAN PENGGUNAAN KONTRASEPSI HORMONAL DENGAN KEJADIAN KANKER PAYUDARA DI RSUD KABUPATEN BULELENG ABSTRAK Kanker payudara adalah sel yang terdapat di dalam payudara yang tumbuh dan berkembang secara tidak terkendali. Salah satunya penyebab kanker payudara adalah penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal jangka panjang. Penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal selama >4 tahun dapat meningkatkan risiko kanker payudara sebanyak 1,52 kali lipat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal dengan kejadian kanker payudara di RSUD Kabupaten Buleleng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan rektrospektif. Pada peneltian ini jumlah sampel sebanyak 40, dimana responden ini akan dibagi 2 untuk kelompok kasus sebanyak 20 orang dan kelompok control sebanyak 20 orang dengan teknik sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji statistik chi square, nilai signifikasinsi atau probabilitas (p) didapatkan nilai p = 0,01 (p < 0,05) yang berarti bahwa ada hubungan antara penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal dengan kejadian kanker payudara di RSUD Buleleng.
