Abstract

A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF RANDOM BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS ON PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS AT PUSKESMAS MANGGIS I KARANGASEM REGENCY ABSTRACT The incidence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in Indonesia continues to increase and is one of the most common diseases suffered by the community. The number of DM sufferers who increase continuously is influenced by population growth, the aging process, urbanization and the increasing prevalence of obesity. The purpose of this study was to describe blood glucose levels during diabetes mellitus patients at Puskesmas Manggis I Karangasem Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. The research will be conducted in march- april 2024The sample used was 38 respondents using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study were based on the characteristics of respondents in the elderly category (55%), women (61%), normal Body Mass Index (55%), have a family history of diabetes mellitus (76%), a history of irregular drug consumption (53%), and high blood pressure (74%). Blood glucose levels when obtained mostly DM (82%) and Uncertain DM (18%). Blood glucose levels during the DM category are mostly in the elderly group (46-65 years), female , high blood pressure, normal body mass index, had a family history of DM, and not complying with taking medication. Keywords : diabetes mellitus, blood glucose levels GAMBARAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH SEWAKTU PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS DI PUSKESMAS MANGGIS I KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Angka kejadian Diabetes Melitus (DM) di Indonesia terus meningkat dan merupakan salah satu penyakit yang paling banyak di derita oleh masyarakat. Jumlah penderita DM yang meningkat terus menerus ini dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan penduduk, proses penuaan, urbanisasi dan pertambahan jumlah prevalensi obesitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu pada penderita diabetes melitus di Puskesmas Manggis I Kabupaten Karangasem. Jenis dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan maret-april 2024. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 38 responden dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan karakteristik responden kategori lansia (55%), perempuan (61%), Indeks Masa Tubuh normal (55%), memiliki riwayat keluarga diabetes melitus (76%), kepatuhan minum obat yang tidak patuh (53%), dan tekanan darah tinggi (74%). Kadar glukosa darah sewaktu didapatkan sebagian besar DM (82%) dan belum pasti DM (18%). Kadar glukosa darah sewaktu kategori DM sebagian besar pada kelompok lansia (46-65) tahun, berjenis kelamin perempuan, tekanan darah tinggi, indeks masa tubuh normal, memiliki riwayat keluarga DM, dan tidak patuh dalam minum obat.
