Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE ELDERLY AT COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER II WEST DENPASAR ABSTRACT Increased uric acid levels are one of the most common degenerative diseases and health problems in elderly people. The prevalence of joint disease in Balinese society is high. The high prevalence of joint disease in Bali is closely related to the habit of eating foods high in purine. The prevalence of joint disease in Denpasar City is around 18.2%. The aim of this study was to determine the description of uric acid levels in the elderly at Community Health Center II Denpasar Barat. The type of research used was descriptive research which was carried out in January-April 2024 using a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling, totaling 43 respondents. Uric acid levels were measured using the POCT method with the Easy Touch tool. The majority of the uric acid level results from the research subjects came from the pre-elderly age category, 42%, 65% female, 47% with a normal BMI category, and 22 people (51%) with normal uric acid levels. High uric acid levels in the elderly category (60-69 years), according to gender characteristics, the most elderly people with high uric acid levels were found to be female, 15 people (35%), and based on BMI, the most elderly people with high uric acid levels were found. high urate in the obesity BMI category (>25.0-27.0 kg/m2). The conclusion of this study is that uric acid levels in the elderly at West Denpasar Health Center II are mostly in the normal category. Keywords: Uric acid level, elderly GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Peningkatan kadar asam urat merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif dan juga masalah kesehatan yang paling umum pada orang lanjut usia. Prevalensi penyakit sendi di masyarakat Bali termasuk tinggi, Tingginya prevalensi penyakit sendi di Bali erat kaitannya dengan kebiasaan makan makanan tinggi purin. Prevalensi penyakit sendi di Kota Denpasar sekitar 18,2%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada lansia di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif yang di lakukan pada bulan Januari-April 2024 menggunakan teknik sampling dengan cara non�probability dengan purposive sampling yang berjumlah 43 responden. Kadar asam urat diukur menggunakan metode POCT dengan alat Easy Touch. Hasil kadar asam urat dari subjek penelitian mayoritas berasal dari kategori usia pra lansia sebanyak 42%, jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 65%, dan dengan kategori IMT normal sebanyak 47%, dan kadar asam urat yang normal sebanyak 22 orang (51%). Kadar asam urat tinggi pada kategori lansia (60-69 tahun), pada karaktersitik jenis kelamin ditemukan paling banyak lansia dengan kadar asam urat tinggi pada lansia berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 15 orang (35%), dan berdasarkan IMT ditemukan paling banyak lansia dengan kadar asam urat tinggi pada kategori IMT obesitas (>25,0-27,0 kg/m2). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah kadar asam urat pada lansia di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat sebagian besar pada kategori normal. Kata kunci: Kadar asam urat, lansia
