Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF EFFECTIVE DEEP BREATHING AND COUGHING EXERCISES IN PATIENTS WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEARANCE DUE TO CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE AT TABANAN HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a disease characterized by productive cough, shortness of breath and blockage of the airway. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of effective deep breathing and coughing exercises in patients with ineffective airway clearance due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at Tabanan Regional Hospital. The method used is a case study with 1 research subject. The results of the assessment showed that the data found were in accordance with the SDKI with the label of ineffective airway clearance (D.0001). Nursing planning is prepared based on SLKI with the label of increased airway clearance (L.01001) and the main intervention implemented is effective cough exercise (I.01006). The results of this study showed that after being given the implementation of effective deep breathing and coughing exercises for 3 x 30 minutes, the problem of ineffective airway clearance was resolved, marked by the achievement of all established result criteria. Several studies have proven that giving deep breathing and coughing exercises effectively has a positive impact on patients with ineffective road clearance. Keywords: COPD, Ineffective Airway Clearance, Deep Breathing Exercises, Effective Cough Exercises IMPLEMENTASI LATIHAN NAFAS DALAM DAN BATUK EFEKTIF PADA PASIEN DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIS DI RSUD TABANAN ABSTRAK Penyakit paru obstruktif kronis adalah penyakit dengan ciri-ciri batuk produktif, sesak nafas dan terjadi penyumbatan pada jalan napas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi latihan nafas dalam dan batuk efektif pada pasien dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat penyakit paru obstruktif kronis di RSUD Tabanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan 1 subyek penelitian. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan bahwa data yang ditemukan sudah sesuai SDKI dengan label bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif (D.0001). Perencanaan keperawatan disusun berdasarkan SLKI dengan label bersihan jalan napas meningkat (L.01001) dan intervensi utama yang dilaksanakan yaitu latihan batuk efektif (I.01006). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan implementasi latihan nafas dalam dan batuk efektif selama 3 x 30 menit masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif teratasi ditandai dengan tercapainya seluruh kriteria hasil yang ditetapkan. Beberapa penelitian telah membuktikan pemberian latihan nafas dalam dan batuk efektif memberikan dampak yang positif pada pasien dengan bersihan jalan tidak efektif.
