Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE RESULTS OF URINE PROTEIN EXAMINATION WITH THE DIPSTICK METHOD IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS AT UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ABSTRACT Hypertension is a condition where blood vessels have high blood pressure (systolic blood pressure >140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure >90 mm Hg), the higher the blood pressure, the harder the heart works. Hypertension contributes to damage to kidney function, high blood pressure will force the kidneys to work harder and result in damage to kidney function characterized by proteinuria. Descriptive research type. The research was conducted from January to March 2024. The study population was hypertensive patients with a large research sample of 43 samples. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Urine examination was carried out by the dipstick method. The results of the study, as many as 36 people (84%) who have negative urine protein. The conclusion of the study, in the characteristics of respondents with positive hypertension, most respondents were aged> 65 years or older, mostly male, had a history of hypertension, had a BMI of 18.5-25.0 kg/m2 (normal), and did not have a smoking habit. Suggestions from the study are to pay more attention to lifestyle, control body weight to stay ideal, diligently carry out sports activities, not smoke, reduce sodium consumption, and avoid alcohol consumption. Keywords: Hypertension, Urine Protein, Dipstick GAMBARAN HASIL PEMERIKSAAN PROTEIN URIN DENGAN METODE CARIK CELUP PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ABSTRAK Hipertensi adalah suatu kondisi dimana pembuluh darah memiliki tekanan darah tinggi (tekanan darah sistolik >140 mmHg atau tekanan darah diastolik >90 mm Hg), semakin tinggi tekanan darah maka semakin keras jantung bekerja. Hipertensi memberi kontribusi terhadap kerusakan fungsi ginjal, tekanan darah yang tinggi akan memaksa ginjal untuk bekerja lebih berat dan mengakibatkan rusaknya fungsi ginjal yang ditandai dengan adanya proteinuria. Jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2024. Populasi penelitian adalah penderita hipertensi dengan besar sampel penelitian sebanyak 43 sampel. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Pemeriksaan urin dilakukan dengan metode carik celup. Hasil penelitian, sebanyak 36 orang (84%) yang memiliki protein urin yang negatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian, pada karakterisitik responden penderita hipertensi positif terbanyak pada responden yang berumur >65 tahun atau yang berusia lanjut, kebanyakan berjenis kelamin laki-laki, memiliki riwayat hipertensi, memiliki IMT 18,5-25,0 kg/m2 (normal), dan tidak memiliki kebiasaan merokok. Saran dari penelitian yaitu agar lebih memperhatikan gaya hidup, mengontrol berat badan agar tetap ideal, rajin melakukan kegiatan olahraga, tidak merokok, mengurangi konsumsi natrium, serta menghindari konsumsi alkohol.
