Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS CURRENTLY IN ACTIVE SMOKERS IN MAMBAL VILLAGE, ABIANSEMAL BADUNG DISTRICT ABSTRACT Smoking is a very common habit and it is difficult to get rid of it and smoking is also one of the causes of high blood glucose levels, and has even become a lifestyle for some people, both young and old. Blood glucose is sugar found in the blood which comes from carbohydrates in food and is stored as glycogen in the liver and skeletal muscles. Blood glucose functions as an energy provider for the body and tissues in the body. Generally the level of glucose in the blood remains within the limits of 4-8 mmol/L /day (70-150 mg/dl). This study aims to determine the description of current blood glucose levels in active smokers in Mambal Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. This research is descriptive in nature using purposive sampling involving 66 respondents from a population of 200, the examination method is using POCT. The results of the research obtained were that the blood glucose levels of most respondents had normal blood glucose levels. Based on the characteristics most commonly found in vulnerable people aged 46 - 51 years, duration of smoking ≤ 10 years, smoking frequency ≥ 10 cigarettes. The conclusion of this research is a picture of current blood glucose levels in active smokers in Mambal Village, Abiansemal Badung District, most of whom have normal blood glucose levels. Keywords: Blood Glucose, Active Smoker, POCT GAMBARAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH SEWAKTU PADA PEROKOK AKTIF DI DESA MAMBAL KECAMATAN ABIANSEMAL BADUNG ABSTRAK Merokok merupakan suatu kebiasaan yang sangat umum dan sulit untuk dihilangkan dan merokok juga menjadi salah satu penyebab tingginya kadar glukosa darah bahkan sudah menjadi gaya hidup sebagian orang baik tua maupun muda. Glukosa darah ialah gula yang terdapat dalam darah yang berasal dari karbohidrat dalam makanan dan disimpan sebagai glikogen di hati dan otot rangka. Glukosa darah berfungsi sebagai penyedia energi bagi tubuh dan jaringan dalam tubuh. Umumnya kadar glukosa dalam darah tetap dalam batas 4-8 mmol/L/hari (70-150 mg/dl). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar glukosa darah saat ini pada perokok aktif di Desa Mambal Kecamatan Abiansemal Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan menerapkan purposive sampling yang melibatkan 66 responden dari populasi 200, metode pemeriksaan menerapkan POCT. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh ialah kadar glukosa darah sebagian besar responden mempunyai kadar glukosa darah normal. didasarkan atas karakteristik yang paling banyak ditemukan pada kelompok rentan berusia 46 – 51 tahun, lama merokok ≤ 10 tahun, frekuensi merokok ≥ 10 batang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ialah gambaran kadar glukosa darah saat ini pada perokok aktif di Desa Mambal Kecamatan Abiansemal Badung sebagian besar berkadar glukosa darah normal.
