Abstract
THE EFFECT OF QUARTET CARD GAME ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF PREVENTION OF DIARRHEA IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AT SDN 11 KESIMAN DENPASAR YEAR 2018 Through correct method and the use of props which is right target in health counseling, then material which convey will be easy accepted, digested and absorbed by target. The delivery of educational materials will be more effective when conveyed in a pleasant atmosphere and using methods that attract students' attention. Through this study the authors modify a method of health education using educational game tools through a quartet card game is a diarrhea quartet-free card containing messages and information and is equipped with images on diarrhea prevention. This study aims to determine the effect of quartet card game on prevention knowledge of diarrhea in students. The type of research is experiment/intervention with pre-experimental design and approach model used is one-group pretest-posttest design using probability sampling that is stratified random sampling Subjects were 64 people. The results of the research shows that the students' knowledge before giving the game is mostly in the level of knowledge that is 37 people (57,8%) and after giving the game result of research show the increase of knowledge in the students with the result of the half of the students is at the level of good knowledge that is as many as 55 people (85.9%). The result of the research was tested by statistical test of wilcoxon, got ρ-value = 0,0001 <alpha (0,05), it can be concluded that there is meaning influence of quartet card game to prevention knowledge in diarrhea on elementary school student at SDN 11 Kesiman Denpasar Year 2018. According to the result of the study, the teacher are suggested to improve the prevention of illness material by developing other games media. Keywords: Diarrhea, Knowledge, Quartet Card Games
