Abstract
Cancer is an abnormal growth of new cells that grow beyond normal limits, and which can then attack the side of the body and spread to other organs. Chemotherapy is a treatment process using drugs aimed at removing cancer cells. The purpose of this study was to determine the decrease of neutrophil level as predictors of decreased nutritional status, serum albumin level and Total Lymphocyte Count (TLC) of cancer patients with chemotherapy at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. Type of observational study with cross-sectional design with a sample of 30 people. Neutrophil level data, albumin levels and total lymphocyte count (TLC) were collected with medical record data and nutritional status data were collected by interview method using PG-SGA. Data analysis using rank spearman correlation statistics. The results showed that neutrophil level of 15 people (30%) of sample is normal, nutritional status of 17 people (56%) samples is bad, 29% albumin (97%) of sample is normal, total lymphocyte count (TLC) 14 people (47 %) sample is normal. The association of decreased levels of neutrophils with decreased nutritional status, decreased levels of neutrophils with decreased albumin levels and decreased neutrophil levels with decreased lymphocyte count (TLC) there is relationship but not significance (p> 0.05).
