Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN MENOPAUSAL WOMEN IN PEJATEN VILLAGE KEDIRI TABANAN ABSTRACT Uric acid is the final metabolic result of purines which is one part of nucleic acids in the cell nucleus of the human body. Things that can affect the increase in uric acid levels are age, family history, consumption of foods high in purine and physical activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of uric acid levels in menopausal women in Pejaten Village, Kediri, Tabanan. The type of research used is descriptive research with a simple random sampling technique with a sample of 42 people who have met the inclusion criteria. Examination of uric acid levels using the Point Of Care Testing (POCT) tool. The results showed that menopausal women with normal uric acid levels 26.2% and high uric acid levels of 73.8%. Increased uric acid levels occurred in postmenopausal women aged ≥60 years (52.4%), no family history of gout (81%), often eating foods high in purines (64.3%), doing moderate physical activity (47.6%). Keywords : uric acid, menopausal women GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA WANITA MENOPAUSE DI DESA PEJATEN KEDIRI TABANAN ABSTRAK Asam urat adalah hasil metabolisme akhir purin yang merupakan salah satu bagian asam nukleat dalam inti sel tubuh manusia. Faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kadar asam urat yaitu usia, riwayat keluarga, konsumsi makanan tinggi purin dan aktivitas fisik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada wanita menopause di Desa Pejaten Kediri Tabanan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik sampling simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 42 orang yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat menggunakan alat Point Of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wanita menopause dengan kadar asam urat normal sebesar 26,2% dan kadar asam urat tinggi sebesar 73,8%. Peningkatan kadar asam urat terjadi pada usia ≥60 tahun (52,4%), tidak ada riwayat keluarga penyakit asam urat (81%), sering mengonsumsi makanan tinggi purin (64,3%), melakukan aktivitas fisik sedang (47,6%).
