Abstract

ABSTRACT According to the results of family data collection in 2021, it shows that the prevalence rate for couples of childbearing age (PUS) participating in family planning in Indonesia in 2021 is 57.4%. The number of family planning acceptors based on the type of contraceptive method shows that the majority of acceptors choose to use injectable contraception at 59.9%. Bangli Regency is the area with the highest cases of side effects from family planning, namely of the 33,545 active family planning participants, 1,023 experienced side effects from using family planning. The aim of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between the duration of DMPA contraceptive use and changes in the menstrual cycle and body weight in WUS in the Bangli Community Health Center UPT working area. This research design includes non-experimental quantitative research with a correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach using non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study was 52 people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on statistical tests using the chi square test, the asymp.sig (2-sided) value was 0.031 < 0.05, this shows that there is a relationship between the duration of DMPA contraceptive use and the menstrual cycle. and there is a relationship between the duration of DMPA contraceptive use and changes in body weight in birth control acceptors with an asymp.sig (2-sided) value of 0.000. The conclusion from the results of this study is that there is a relationship between the duration of DMPA contraceptive use and changes in the menstrual cycle in WUS. There is a relationship between long-term use of DMPA contraception and changes in body weight in WUS. Key words: Changes in the menstrual cycle, changes in body weight and DMPA contraception ABSTRAK Menurut hasil pendataan keluarga tahun 2021, menunjukan bahwa angka prevelensi pasangan usia subur (PUS) peserta KB di Indonesia pada tahun 2021 sebesar 57,4%. Jumlah akseptor KB berdasarkan jenis metode kontrasepsi menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar akseptor memilih menggunakan kontrasepsi suntik sebesar 59,9 %, Kabupaten Bangli merupakan wilayah dengan kasus efek samping ber- KB paling tinggi yaitu dari 33.545 peserta KB aktif 1.023 mengalami efek samping ber- KB. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA dengan perubahan siklus menstruasi dan berat badan pada WUS di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Bangli. Desain penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimental dengan rancangan analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan non-probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 52 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Berdasarkan uji statistic dengan uji chi square didapatkan nilai asymp.sig (2-sided) 0.031 < 0.05 hal ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA dengan siklus menstruasi. dan terdapat hubungan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA dengan perubahan berat badan pada akseptor KB dengan nilai asymp.sig (2-sided) 0.000. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA dengan perubahan siklus menstruasi pada WUS. Ada hubungan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi DMPA dengan perubahan berat badan pada WUS. Kata kunci : Perubahan siklus menstruasi, perubahan berat badan dan kontrasepsi DMPA
