Abstract

THE EFFECT OF LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL AROMATHERAPY AND ACUPRESSURE AT POINT P6 ON NAUSEA VOMITING PREGNANT WOMEN IN THE DISTRICT PMB KLUNGKUNG IN 2024 ABSTRACT Pregnant women especially in the first trimester often experience nausea and vomiting during the pregnancy phase which can hinder daily activities if the nausea and vomiting are excessive. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of lavender essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure at the p6 point on nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women in PMB Klungkung Regency. The design used in this research was one group pre-post, with a pre-test and post-test design. The selection of the sample size used a nonprobability sampling method with consecutive sampling technique. The population was 60 pregnant women and the sample in this study was 36 respondents. The average nausea and vomiting of pregnant women in the first trimester before being given lavender essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure at the p6 point was in the mild and moderate category, and after being given lavender essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure at the p6 point the nausea and vomiting of first trimester pregnant women decreased. In testing the results of the effect using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank, the p-value was 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is an effect of lavender essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure at point p6 on nausea and vomiting of pregnant women in the first trimester. It is hoped that midwives will be on duty at PMB and the community, especially pregnant women. First trimester using lavender essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure at the p6 point to reduce nausea and vomiting. Keywords: Aromatherapy, Acupressure, Nausea and Vomiting PENGARUH AROMATERAPI ESSENTIAL OIL LAVENDER DAN AKUPRESUR PADA TITIK P6 TERHADAP MUAL MUNTAH IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER I DI PMB KABUPATEN KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Ibu hamil khususnya trimester I sering mengalami mual dan muntah pada fase kehamilan yang dapat menghambat aktivitas sehari-hari jika mual dan muntah berlebihan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi essential oil lavender dan akupresur pada titik p6 terhadap mual muntah ibu hamil trimester I di PMB Kabupaten Klungkung. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah one group pre-post, dengan rancangan pre test dan post test. Pemilihan jumlah sampel dengan menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Populasi 60 ibu hamil dan sampel pada penelitian ini 36 responden. Rata-rata mual muntah ibu hamil trimester I sebelum diberikan aromaterapi essential oil lavender dan akupresur pada titik p6 berada pada kategori ringan dan sedang, dan sesudah diberikan aromaterapi essential oil lavender dan akupresur pada titik p6 mual muntah ibu hamil trimester I menurun. dalam uji hasil pengaruh menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank didapatkan hasil p-value 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh aromaterapi essential oil lavender dan akupresur pada titik p6 terhadap mual muntah ibu hamil trimester I. Diharapkan bidan jaga di PMB dan masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil trimester I menggunakan aromaterapi essential oil lavender dan akupresur pada titik p6 untuk mengurangi mual muntah.
