Abstract

PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING OF COMBINATION EXTRACTS OF GAMBIER LEAVES (Uncaria Gambir Roxb.) AND BAY LEAVES (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) ABSTRACT Phytochemical screening aims to provide an overview of the compound content in the combination extract of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.) before identifying the class of phytochemical compounds contained in the combined extract of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.), and analyzing the levels of phytochemical compounds contained in the combined extract of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.) The preliminary test results will later be known in detail. Quantitative and qualitative phytochemical screening tests on the combined extract of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.) include flavonoid tests, alkaloid tests, tannin tests, and saponin tests while quantitative tests include flavonoid content tests and test tannin levels. The results of qualitative tests of phytochemical screening on combination extracts and single extracts of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.) contain flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins and saponins. Based on the results of the quantitative phytochemical screening test on the combined extract of gambier leaves (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight) Walp.), it has a flavonoid content of 27.66% and a tannin content of 92.02%, while the test results quantitatively, the total flavonoid content of the bay leaf extract was 3.67% and the gambier leaf extract was 1.74% and the total tannin content in the bay leaf extract was 73.86% and the gambier leaf extract was 88.22%. The research results showed that the levels of flavonoid and tannin phytochemical compounds were higher when combined compared to single extracts. ABSTRAK Skrining fitokimia bertujuan memberikan gambaran kandungan senyawa dalam ekstrak kombinasi Daun Gambir (Uncaria Gambir Roxb.) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) sebelum dilakukan identifikasi golongan senyawa fitokimia yang terkandung dalam ekstrak kombinasi Daun Gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.), dan menganalisis kadar golongan senyawa fitokimia yang terkandung dalam ekstrak kombinasi daun gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) dan daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) Hasil uji pendahuluan nantinya akan diketahui secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif uji skrining fitokimia pada ekstrak kombinasi Daun Gambir (Uncaria Gambir Roxb.) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) meliputi uji flavonoid, uji alkaloid, uji tanin, dan uji saponin sedangkan uji kuntitatif meliputi uji kadar flavonoid dan uji kadar tanin. Hasil uji kualitatif skrining fitokimia terhadap ekstrak kombinasi dan ekstrak tunggal Daun Gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) yakni memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin, dan saponin. Berdasarkan hasil uji kuantitatif skrining fitokimia terhadap ekstrak kombinasi Daun Gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum (Wight)Walp.) yakni memiliki kadar flavonoid sebesar 27,66% dan memiliki kadar tanin sebesar 92,02% sedangkan hasil uji kuantitatif kadar total flavonoid ekstrak Tunggal daun salam memiliki kadar 3,67% dan ekstrak Tunggal daun gambir memiliki kadar 1,74% dan kadar total tanin pada ekstrak Tunggal daun salam sebesar 73,86% dan ekstrak Tunggal daun gambir sebesar 88,22%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar golongan senyawa fitokimia flavonoid dan tanin memiliki kadar yang lebih tinggi jika dikombinasikan dibandingkan dengan ekstrak tunggal.
