Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF COLD COMPRESSES TO REDUCE PERINEAL EPISIOTOMY PAIN IN POST PARTUM MOTHERS WITH POST PARTUM DISCOMFORT AT PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT Dewa Ayu Vinatha Indrasuari Politeknik Kesehatan Denpasar Jurusan Keperawatan Email : [email protected] ABSTRACT Pain from perineal episiotomy will have an impact on sleep patterns, eating patterns, ability to defecate, urinate, daily activities and caring for the baby in postpartum mothers. One way to reduce the pain of perineal episiotomy is to apply a cold compress to the perineum of postpartum mothers. This case study aims to find out how cold compresses are implemented to reduce perineal episiotomy pain in post-partum mothers with post-partum discomfort at Community Health Center II Denpasar Barat. This type of research uses a descriptive type in the form of a case study. The methods used in collecting this data were interviews and observation. The results obtained during the assessment were complaints of discomfort due to the episiotomy suture wound, appearing to grimace, appearing to have an episiotomy wound, and appearing to be sweating. The nursing diagnosis raised was postpartum discomfort related to perineal trauma during labor and birth. The interventions used are pain management as the main intervention and cold compresses as a supporting intervention. The results of the evaluation after 3 meetings lasting 30 minutes were that the patient said he was more comfortable and the pain in the episiotomy suture had decreased, he appeared to no longer be grimacing, the episiotomy wound had improved, and sweating had decreased. The conclusion of the case study was that the implementation of cold compresses was effective in improving postpartum comfort status. Keywords: Episiotomy, Post Partum Mother, Cold Compress IMPLEMENTASI KOMPRES DINGIN UNTUK MENGURANGI NYERI EPISIOTOMI PERINEUM PADA IBU POST PARTUM DENGAN KETIDAKNYAMANAN PASCA PARTUM DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Nyeri pada episiotomi perineum akan berdampak pada pola tidur, pola makan, kemampuan buang air besar, buang air kecil, kegiatan seharian dan mengurus bayi pada ibu nifas. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi nyeri episiotomi perineum adalah dengan melakukan kompres dingin pada perineum ibu nifas. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi kompres dingin untuk mengurangi nyeri episiotomi perineum pada ibu post partum dengan ketidaknyamanan pasca partum di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis deskriptif dengan bentuk studi kasus. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil yang di dapat saat pengkajian yaitu mengeluh tidak nyaman karena luka jahitan episiotomi, tampak meringis, tampak adanya luka episiotomi, dan tampak berkeringat. Diagnosis keperawatan yang diangkat adalah ketidaknyamanan pasca partum berhubungan dengan trauma perineum selama persalinan dan kelahiran. Intervensi yang digunakan yaitu manajemen nyeri sebagai intervensi utama dan kompres dingin sebagai intervensi pendukung. Hasil evaluasi setelah dilakukan selama 3x pertemuan selama 30 menit yaitu pasien mengatakan lebih nyaman dan nyeri pada jahitan episiotomi sudah berkurang, tampak sudah tidak meringis, luka episiotomi membaik, dan berkeringat berkurang. Simpulan studi kasus didapatkan hasil bahwa implementasi kompres dingin efektif untuk meningkatkan status kenyamanan pasca partum. Kata Kunci : Episiotomi, Ibu Post Partum, Kompres Dingin
