Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR DIARRHEA IN CHILDREN WITH ACUTE GASTROENTERITIS USING COMBINATION THERAPY OF HONEY AND GUAVA LEAF BOILING IN THE JEMPIRING ROOM RSU BANGLI ABSTRACT Acute gastroenteritis is a disease that occurs when there is a change in stool consistency and frequency of bowel movements. Those where the stool is more watery than usual, or have had 3 or more bowel movements, or have watery stools but no blood within 24 hours. Efforts made include administering ORS fluids. . The aim of this research is to find out how nursing care for diarrhea in children with acute gastroenteritis is carried out in the Jempiring Room at RSU Bangli, including assessment and evaluation. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with a nursing care approach. The results of the study showed that major and minor data in patients included defecation more than 3 times in 24 hours, soft or liquid feces, and hyperactive bowel sounds. The nursing diagnosis based on the results of the patient's assessment was diarrhea, intervention was made with improved fecal elimination outcomes. The action taken was giving combination therapy of honey and boiled guava leaves. The evaluation obtained after being given nursing care was that fecal elimination improved. The conclusion and suggestion from this research is that giving combination therapy of honey and boiled guava leaves can reduce the frequency of defecation in pediatric patients experiencing acute gastroenteritis and can be applied as a complementary therapy to reduce the frequency of defecation. Key words: diarrhea, nursing care, combination therapy, honey, guava leaves ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN DIARE PADA ANAK GASTROENTERITIS AKUT DENGAN TERAPI KOMBINASI MADU DAN REBUSAN DAUN JAMBU BIJI DI RUANG JEMPIRING RSU BANGLI Ayudia Salwa Program Studi Profesi Ners Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar ABSTRAK Gastroenteritis akut merupakan penyakit yang terjadi ketika terdapat perubahan konsistensi feses dan frekuensi buang air besar. Yang dimana feses lebih berair dari biasanya, atau telah buang air besar 3 kali atau lebih, atau buang air besar berair tetapi tidak disertai darah dalam waktu 24 jam. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu pemberian cairan oralit. . Tujuan penelitian ini mampu mengetahui bagaimana asuhan keperawatan diare pada anak dengan gastroenteritis akut di ruang jempiring RSU Bangli, meliputi pengkajian sampai evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan data mayor dan monir pada pasien meliputi defekasi lebih dari 3 kali dalam 24 jam, feses lembek atau cair, dan bising usus hiperaktif. Diagnosis keperawatan berdasarkan hasil pengkajian pada pasien adalah diare, intervensi dibuat dengan luaran eliminasi fekal membaik. Tindakan yang dilakukan yaitu pemberian terapi kombinasi madu dan rebusan daun jambu biji. Evaluasi yang didapatkan setelah diberikan asuhan keperawatan yaitu eliminasi fekal membaik. Simpulan dan saran dari penelitian ini yaitu pemberian terapi kombinasi madu dan rebusan daun jambu biji dapat menurunkan frekuensi defekasi pada pasien anak yang mengalami gastroenteritis akut dan bisa diterapkan sebagai terapi komplementer untuk mengataksi frekuensi defekasi.
