Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COMMUNITY CULTURE AND THE INCIDENCE OF HYPERTENSION IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE KARANGASEM I HEALTH CENTER IN KARANGASEM DISTRICT IN 2024 ABSTRACT Hypertension is a non-communicable disease, namely systolic pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. Factors that can influence hypertension are consuming alcohol, consuming foods that are high in salt and saturated fat. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between community culture and the incidence of hypertension. This research uses quantitative correlational methods with a cross-sectional design. This research uses a probability sampling technique with stratified random sampling. The number of samples in this study was 90 people in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research uses the Spearman Rank correlation test. The culture of the respondents' society was mostly bad culture as many as 29 people (32.2%), normal culture 17 people (18.9%), good culture 16 people (17.8%), very bad culture 15 people (16.7%) , and very good culture 13 people (14.4%). The incidence of hypertension among respondents was that most respondents suffered from grade 1 hypertension, 61 people (67.8%) while 29 people (32.2%) had grade 2 hypertension. The results of this research are that there is a relationship between community culture and the incidence of hypertension with a p-value of 0.000. It is hoped that this research will increase the knowledge of the public and hypertension sufferers regarding community cultures that are at risk of developing hypertension, such as consuming alcoholic drinks, consuming foods that are high in saturated fat and salt. Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi hipertensi yaitu mengkonsumsi alkohol, mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung tinggi garam dan lemak jenuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan budaya masyarakat dengan kejadian hipertensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan desain cross-sectional. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan stratified random sampling. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 90 orang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Penelitiain ini menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Budaya masyarakat responden sebagian besar budaya buruk sebanyak 29 orang (32,2%), budaya normal 17 orang (18,9%), budaya baik 16 orang (17,8%), budaya sangat buruk 15 orang (16,7%), dan budaya sangat baik 13 orang (14,4%). Kejadian hipertensi pada responden sebagian besar responden menderita hipertensi tingkat 1 sebanyak 61 orang (67,8%) sedangkan hipertensi tingkat 2 sebanyak 29 orang (32,2%). Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan budaya masyarakat dengan kejadian hipertensi dengan p-value yaitu 0,000. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan masyarakat dan penderita hipertensi mengenai budaya masyarakat yang berisiko terjadinya penyakit hipertensi seperti mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol, mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung tinggi lemak jenuh dan garam.
