Abstract

THE EFFECT OF CERVICAL CANCER HEALTH PROMOTION WITH FLASHCARD MEDIA ON WUS'S MOTIVATION FOR EARLY DETECTION OF THE IVA METHOD ABSTRACT Cervical cancer is still the highest contributor to death in Indonesian women after breast cancer. The government has made various efforts to deal with cervical cancer problems, one of which is the IVA method early detection program. However, the implementation of the program has not been optimal as evidenced by the percentage of coverage of early detection of cervical cancer IVA method is still low. This is due to various factors, one of which is the low motivation of WUS. WUS motivation for early detection is strongly influenced by WUS exposure to health information. Educational approaches through health promotion are the main ways to increase information exposure. This study aims to determine the effect of cervical cancer health promotion with flashcard media on WUS motivation for early detection of IVA methods. The study design used one group pretest-posttest. Sample selection using random sampling technique with a sample of 54 people. Statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test (α=0.05) showed that the p value = 0.000, meaning that there were differences in motivation scores before and after treatment. So it is concluded that there is an effect of cervical cancer health promotion with flashcard media on the motivation of WUS for early detection of the IVA method. PENGARUH PROMOSI KESEHATAN KANKER SERVIKS DENGAN MEDIA FLASHCARD TERHADAP MOTIVASI WUS UNTUK DETEKSI DINI METODE IVA ABSTRAK Kanker serviks masih menjadi penyumbang kematian tertinggi pada perempuan Indonesia setelah kanker payudara. Pemerintah telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menghadapi permasalahan kanker serviks salah satunya adalah program deteksi dini metode IVA. Namun, pelaksanaan program tersebut belum optimal yang dibuktikan dengan persentase cakupan deteksi dini kanker serviks metode IVA masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan karena berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah rendahnya motivasi WUS. Motivasi WUS untuk deteksi dini sangat dipengaruhi oleh terpaparnya WUS terhadap informasi kesehatan. Pendekatan edukasi melalui promosi kesehatan menjadi cara utama untuk meningkatkan keterpaparan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh promosi kesehatan kanker serviks dengan media flashcard terhadap motivasi WUS untuk deteksi dini metode IVA. Desain penelitian menggunakan one group pretest-posttest. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan sampel 54 orang. Uji statistik menggunakan Wilcoxon test (α=0,05) menunjukkan bahwa p value = 0,000, artinya terdapat perbedaan skor motivasi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh promosi kesehatan kanker serviks dengan media flashcard terhadap motivasi WUS untuk deteksi dini metode IVA.
