Abstract

Relationship Of Nutritional Status And Consumption Pattern Of Innards With The Incidence Of Gout Arthritis In Elderly In Posyandu Work Area Payangan Health Center ABSTRACT Gout is a buildup of uric acid in the body and there are abnormalities of purine metabolism while nutritional status is the state of the body as a result of food consumption and the use of nutrients monitored using Body Mass Index (IMT) and consumption pattern of innards is the type and frequency of food consumed by a person or group people at any given time. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between nutritional status and consumption pattern of innards in elderly in Posyandu Payitas Health Center Work Area. Type of observational research with cross sectional design. The sample is 65 people. Data were collected by interview method, anthropometry support and checking uric acid levels. Processed data and then analyzed are presented in cross-table accompanied by narration. Data analysis used correlation test of sperman and chi square. From the correlation test of the results, there was a correlation between nutritional status variables with gout arthritis samples (p = 0,009) with r = 0.320. As for the analysis on consumption pattern of edible offal using chi square test, analyzed from type and frequency of intake of innards obtained result there is correlation between type of innards with gout arthritis (value p = 0,001), and there is relation between frequency of innards consumption with gout arthritis (value p = 0,000).
