Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HEALTH LOCUS OF CONTROL WITH DIETARY COMPLIANCE IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE KARANGASEM I HEALTH CENTER IN 2024 ABSTRACT The desire to enjoy delicious food often makes individuals feel bored with the hypertension diet, which causes eating patterns to become irregular and reduces the level of adherence to the diet. This study aimed to determine the relationship between health locus of control and dietary compliance in hypertension patients in the Karangasem I Community Health Center working area. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional method on 154 people using a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected simultaneously at one time using the hypertension diet compliance questionnaire and the multidimensional health locus of control scale form c questionnaire which had been tested for validity. In this study, it was found that the chance of health locus of control dominating as the highest HLC was 64.9%. The chance of health locus of control found was in the high category 64.9% and low 35.1%. After classifying the level of compliance, it was found that the compliance category was 68.2% and non-compliance was 31.8%. Testing the relationship between health locus of control and diet compliance found a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.677 with a significance value of 0.000, so it can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between health locus of control and diet adherence. Keywords: health locus of control, dietary adherence, hypertension HUBUNGAN HEALTH LOCUS OF CONTROL DENGAN KEPATUHAN DIET PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KARANGASEM I TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Keinginan untuk menikmati makanan lezat sering kali membuat individu merasa bosan terhadap diet hipertensi, yang menyebabkan pola makan menjadi tidak teratur dan menurunkan tingkat kepatuhan terhadap diet. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan health locus of control dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien hipetensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karangasem I. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode cross sectional yang dilakukan terhadap 154 orang yang dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan secara bersamaan dalam satu waktu dengan menggunakan kuisioner kepatuhan diet hipertensi dan kuisioner multidimensional health locus of control scale form c yang sudah dilakukan uji validitas. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan chance health locus of control mendominasi sebagai health locus of control tertinggi sebesar 64,9 %. chance health locus of control yang ditemukan berkategori tinggi 64,9% dan rendah 35,1%. Setelah dilakukan klasifikasi tingkat kepatuhan ditemukan berkategori patuh sebesar 68,2% dan tidak patuh sebesar 31,8 %. Uji hubungan health locus of control dan kepatuhan diet ditemukan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,677 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara health locus of control dengan kepatuhan diet.
