Abstract

THE EFFECT OF ANIMATED VIDEO EDUCATION ON PERSONAL SAFETY SKILL OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AS AN EFFORT TO PREVENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN SDN 6 GIANYAR ABSTRACT Sexual violence against children in Indonesia in 2023 was reported to be 2,578 cases. Sexual violence against children causes psychological trauma and has a negative impact on children's future development. Efforts are made to prevent children from experiencing sexual violence by providing children with personal safety skills education. This research provides sexual education and self-protection to students using animated video media. This research aims to determine the effect of animated video education on students' personal safety skills as an effort to prevent sexual violence. The type of research is Pre-Experimental. Design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design using Total Sampling, with a sample of 79 students. The research results showed that knowledge of personal safety skills before being given the animated video was mostly in the sufficient category, namely 45 students (57%), after being given an animated video, the results of the research showed an increase in personal safety knowledge in students with most of the students being in the good category of 76 students (96.2%). The research results were tested using the Wilcoxon test, the values obtained p-value = 0.000 < alpha (0.05), then it can be concluded that H0 rejected or there is an influence of providing sexual education and self-protection from sexual violence with animated video media. Teachers at schools are advised to provide personal safety skills materials using animated video media that have been made by researchers. Anak yang mengalami kekerasan seksual akan menimbulkan trauma psikologis dan memberikan dampak negatif bagi perkembangan anak di masa mendatang. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah anak mengalami kekerasan seksual dengan cara memberikan anak edukasi personal safety skill. Penelitian ini memberikan pendidikan seksual dan perlindungan diri, kepada siswa dengan media video animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh edukasi video animasi terhadap personal safety skill siswa sebagai upaya mencegah kekerasan seksual. Jenis penelitian adalah Pre-Experimental. Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest menggunakan Total Sampling, dengan sampel 79 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan personal safety skill sebelum diberikan video animasi, paling banyak berada pada kategori cukup yaitu sebanyak 45 siswa (57%), setelah diberikan video animasi hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan personal safety skill pada siswa dengan sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori baik yaitu 76 siswa (96,2%). Hasil penelitian diuji dengan uji Wilcoxon, didapatkan nilai p-value = 0,000 < alpha (0,05), maka ada pengaruh pemberian pendidikan seksual dan perlindungan diri dari kekerasan seksual dengan media video animasi. Kepada guru di sekolah disarankan untuk memberikan materi personal safety skill menggunakan media video animasi yang telah peneliti buat. Kata Kunci : Personal Safety Skill, Kekerasan Seksual
