Abstract

ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF DENGAN TERAPI PURSED LIPS BREATHING DAN AROMATERAPI ESSENTIAL OIL PEPPERMINT PADA PASIEN PPOK DI RSUD TABANAN TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Iritasi kronis pada PPOK menimbulkan proliferasi sel goblet yang mengakibatkan hipersekresi mukus. Hipersekresi mukus mengakibatkan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Tujuan karya ilmiah ini adalah mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif dengan terapi pursed lips breathing dan aromaterapi essential oil peppermint pada pasien PPOK. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan deskriptif pendekatan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 sampai 19 April 2024. Hasil pengkajian didapatkan data batuk tidak efektif, tidak mampu batuk, sputum berlebih, wheezing, ronkhi kering, dispnea, orthopnea, frekuensi napas berubah, dan pola napas berubah sehingga pasien dinyatakan mengalami masalah besihan jalan napas tidak efekif. Masalah diatasi dengan latihan batuk efektif, manajemen jalan napas, pemantauan respirasi, terapi oksigen, terapi pursed lips breathing dan aromaterapi essential oil peppermint. Setelah dilakukan intervensi selama 3 x 24 jam, bersihan jalan napas meningkat dengan kriteria hasil batuk efektif meningkat, produksi sputum menurun, wheezing menurun, dispnea menurun, orthopnea menurun, frekuensi napas membaik, dan pola napas mebaik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, pemberian terapi pursed lips breathing dan aromaterapi essential oil peppermint efektif meningkatkan bersihan jalan napas pada pasien dengan PPOK dan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif oleh perawat sebagai suatu tindakan mandiri perawat. Kata Kunci: Bersihan Jalan Napas Tidak Efektif, PPOK, Pursed Lips Breathing dan Aromaterapi Essential Oil Peppermint NURSING CARE FOR INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEANSING WITH PURSED LIPS BREATHING THERAPY AND PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL AROMATHERAPY IN COPD PATIENTS AT TABANAN HOSPITAL IN 2024 ABSTRACT Chronic irritation in COPD leads to goblet cell proliferation resulting in mucus hypersecretion. Mucous hypersecretion results in ineffective airway clearance. The purpose of this scientific work is to determine the description of nursing care for ineffective airway clearance with pursed lips breathing therapy and peppermint essential oil aromatherapy in COPD patients. The study used a descriptive design case study approach which was carried out from 16 to 19 April 2024. The results of the assessment obtained data on ineffective cough, unable to cough, excess sputum, wheezing, dry ronchi, dyspnea, orthopnea, altered breathing frequency, and altered breathing patterns so that the patient was declared to have an ineffective airway clearance problem. Problems are overcome by effective cough training, airway management, monitoring respiration, oxygen therapy, pursed lips breathing therapy and peppermint essential oil aromatherapy. After the intervention for 3 x 24 hours, airway clearance improved with the criteria for effective cough results increased, sputum production decreased, wheezing decreased, dyspnea decreased, orthopnea decreased, breathing frequency improved, and breathing patterns improved. In conclusion, pursed lips breathing therapy and peppermint essential oil aromatherapy effectively improve airway clearance in patients with COPD and can be used as an alternative to solving the problem of ineffective airway clearance by nurses as a nurse's independent action.
