Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease in which the joints (usually the hands and feet) become inflamed, resulting in swelling, pain and often causing damage to the inside of the joints. The aim of this study was to analyze Chronic Pain nursing care for Mr. Y and Mrs. T By Providing Warm Lemongrass Compresses to Reduce Rheumatoid Arthritis in the UPTD Working Area of ​​the North Kuta Health Center. This research uses descriptive analysis methods with case study data collection techniques which were carried out in March-April 2024. The research subject was Mr. Y and Mrs. T with a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis. The results of the case study showed that Mr. The nursing diagnosis is chronic pain related to chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The innovative intervention used is lemongrass warm compress therapy. Implementation is carried out once a day in 3 visits for 15 minutes with 100 grams of lemongrass used and 700 ml of water, then the boiled lemongrass water is cooled to a temperature of 370 C and compressed on the knee of the patient who is experiencing pain. The evaluation obtained was that the level of pain in both patients decreased from a pain scale of 5 to a pain scale of 3. The conclusion obtained was that warm lemongrass compresses were effective as a non-pharmacological treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients with chronic pain nursing problems. Keywords : Nursing Care, Chronic Pain, Warm Lemongrass Compress Rheumatoid Arthritis adalah suatu penyakit autoimun dimana persendian (biasanya tangan dan kaki) mengalami peradangan, sehingga terjadi pembengkakan, nyeri dan seringkali menyebabkan kerusakan pada bagian dalam sendi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis asuhan keperawatan Nyeri Kronis pada Tn. Y Dan Ny.T Dengan Pemberian Kompres Hangat Serai Dalam Menurunkan Rheumatoid Artritis Di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada bulan maret-april 2024. Subjek penelitian adalah Tn. Y Dan Ny.T dengan diagnosis Rheumatoid Arthritis. Hasil studi kasus didapatkan Tn.Y Dan Ny.T dengan keluhan nyeri, pasien tampak meringis, gelisah, tidak mampu, bersikap protektif , pola tidur berubah, berfokus pada diri. Diagnosis keperawatan yaitu nyeri kronis berhubungan dengan kondisi musculoskeletal kronis. Intervensi inovasi yang digunakan yaitu terapi kompres hangat serai. Implementasi dilakukan sebanyak 1 kali sehari dalam 3 kali kunjungan selama 15 menit dengan serai yang digunakan sebanyak 100 gram dan air 700 ml lalu air rebusan serai didinginkan sampai suhu 370 C dan dikompreskan pada lutut pasien yang mengalami nyeri. Evaluasi yang didapatkan yaitu tingkat nyeri pada kedua pasien menurun dari skala nyeri 5 menjadi skala nyeri 3. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu kompres hangat serai efektif diberikan sebagai pengobatan non farmakologis pada pasien Rheumatoid Artritis dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri kronis.
