Abstract

CHRONIC PAIN NURSING CARE WITH GUIDED IMAGERY THERAPY ON BREAST CANCER PATIENTS IN THE REGION UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ABSTRACT Breast cancer is a condition in which abnormal breast cells grow out of control and form tumors. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze chronic pain nursing care in patient 1 and patient 2 suffering from breast cancer by providing guided imagery therapy in the UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara Area. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with case study data collection techniques carried out in March-April 2024. The study subjects were patient 1 and patient 2 with a diagnosis of breast cancer. The results of the case study were obtained by patient 1 and patient 2 with complaints of pain, patients seemed to grimace, restless, unable to complete activities, focused on themselves and had difficulty sleeping. The nursing diagnosis formulated is chronic pain associated with tumor infiltration. The innovative intervention used is guided imagery therapy. Implementation is carried out 1 time a day for 3 consecutive days for 15 minutes. The evaluation obtained is that the patient said relaxed, the level of pain in both patients has decreased from a pain scale of 5 and 6 to a pain scale of 3. There is a decrease in pain because when the body feels comfortable and relaxed will stimulate the secretion of endorphins which will inhibit the process of sending pain impulses to the central nervous system, pain will be blocked and cannot be perceived by the client. The conclusion obtained is that guided imagery therapy can reduce pain in patients with breast cancer. Suggestions for North Kuta health center guided imagery therapy can be used as a reference in providing nonpharmacological therapy to reduce pain in breast cancer patients. Keywords : Nursing Care, Chronic Pain, Therapy Guide Imagery ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN NYERI KRONIS DENGAN PEMBERIAN TERAPI GUIDED IMAGERY PADA PASIEN KANKER PAYUDARA DI WILAYAH UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA Ni Kadek Yuni Anggreni Program Studi Profesi Ners Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email : yunianggrn1206@gmail.com ABSTRAK Kanker payudara adalah kondisi dimana sel-sel payudara yang tidak normal tumbuh di luar kendali dan membentuk tumor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis asuhan keperawatan nyeri kronis pada pasien 1 dan pasien 2 yang menderita kanker payudara dengan pemberian terapi guided imagery di Wilayah UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada pada bulan maret-april 2024. Subjek penelitian adalah pasien 1 dan pasien 2 dengan diagnosa kanker payudara. Hasil studi kasus didapatkan pasien 1 dan pasien 2 dengan keluhan nyeri, pasien tampak meringis, gelisah, tidak mampu menuntaskan aktivitas, berfokus pada diri sendiri dan sulit tidur. Diagnosis keperawatan yang dirumuskan yaitu nyeri kronis berhubungan dengan infiltrasi tumor. Intervensi inovasi yang digunakan yaitu terapi guided imagery. Implementasi dilakukan sebanyak 1 kali sehari selama 3 hari berturut-turut selama 15 menit. Evaluasi yang didapatkan yaitu pasien mengatakan rileks, tingkat nyeri pada kedua pasien telah menurun dari skala nyeri 5 dan 6 menjadi skala nyeri 3. Terjadi penurunan nyeri karena pada saat tubuh merasa nyaman dan rileks akan merangsang sekresi hormon endorfin yang akan menghambat proses pengiriman impuls nyeri ke sistem saraf pusat, nyeri akan diblok dan tidak bisa dipersepsikan oleh klien. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu terapi guided imagery dapat menurunkan nyeri pada pasien dengan kanker payudara. Saran bagi puskesmas Kuta Utara terapi guided imagery dapat dijadikan salah satu referensi dalam memberikan terapi nonfarmakologi untuk menurunkan nyeri pada pasien kanker payudara.
