Abstract
The main alternative treatment for cancer is chemotherapy because it has been proven to suppress metastases. Side effects of chemotherapy resulting in nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal disturbances. The presence of gastrointestinal disturbances causes a decrease in appetite and can affect dietary adherence in cancer patients to maintain their nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of chemotherapy with dietary compliance, and the nutritional status of cervical cancer patients at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah General Hospital, Denpasar. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional design. The sample size in this study was 24 respondents. Chemotherapy frequency data were collected through direct interviews. Nutritional status based on body weight and height using body mass index. Dietary adherence data by food type using a questionnaire with a Guttman scale. Dietary compliance based on quantity using the recall method. The statistical test uses the Sperm rank correlation test. The results showed that there was a relationship between chemotherapy frequency and dietary compliance based on food type with a p value of 0.041. But there is no relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy and dietary compliance based on quantity with a p value of 0.439. There is no relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy and nutritional status with a p value of 0.906. However, there is a relationship between dietary adherence based on food type and nutritional status with a p value of 0.039. But there is no relationship between dietary adherence based on quantity and nutritional status with a p value of 0.439.
