Abstract
Old age is a group of people who are going through a process of gradual changes in a period of several decades. At the age of one of the major efforts being made to achieve a good quality of life is by way of maintaining nutritional status in order to remain optimal. Some factors affecting nutritional status including illnesses and physical activity events. The incidence of the disease is one of the direct factor that can affect a person's nutritional status. Illness in old age is largely a degenerative diseases such as gout, hypertension, PJK, osteoporosis and diabetes mellitus. Whereas the activities of gymnastics is one of the indirect factors that can affect a person's nutritional status. With routine in gymnastics is expected to implement the elderly could be free of degenerative diseases and capable of achieving up to maintain optimal nutritional status. The purpose of the research to know the description of the genesis of disease and nutritional status based on activity gymnastics on the elderly in the village of Sibanggede sub-district of Abiansemal Badung Regency. This type of research is observational design with cross sectional with consecutive sampling method. The population was 79 research samples. The results of peneitian showed the incidence of diseases of the elderly sick category as much as 59 samples (74.7%) and it did not hurt as much as 20 samples (25.3%), the type of disease gout sebnyak 26 samples (32.9%), hypertension by as much as 22 samples (27.8%), DM 5 samples (6.3%) osteoporosis, as much as 2 sample (2.5%), other 4 sample (5.1%), it did not hurt as much as 20 samples (25.3%), malnutrition as many as 12 samples (15.2%), at risk of malnurisi a total of 11 samples (13.9%), the normal nutritional status as much as 56 samples (70.9%), activities of the low gymnastics as much as 2 sample (2.5%), while as many as 25 sample (31.6%), higher by as much as 52 sample (65.8%).
