Abstract
IDENTIFICATION OF WORMS EGGS Soil Transmited Helmints ON CABBAGE VEGETABLES AND BASIL FOR SALE IN THE Market ABIAN TIMBUL THE CITY OF DENPASAR ABSTRACK Worm infection is a disease caused by worms that infect the human body. Worm infection is still a public health problem, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Worm egg infections are generally transmitted through food, drink and vegetables such as basil which are consumed raw as fresh vegetables which are not clean enough to wash. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was contamination of Soil Transmitted Helminths eggs which were suspected of being found in cabbage and basil vegetables sold at Abian Timbul Market, Denpasar City. Descriptive research method with qualitative laboratory examination with the Sedimentation method to identify worm eggs. Sampling consisted of 10 cabbages and 10 basil vegetables which were sold by traders in the abian timbul market. The primary data were the data generated from the observed samples of cabbage and basil. From the results of research conducted on cabbage and basil, it showed negative results containing worm eggs, so that cabbage and basil were safe for consumption. Infeksi cacing masih menjadi masalah kesehatan pada masyarakat terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. infeksi telur cacing umumnya ditularkan melalui makanan, minuman dan sayuran seperti kemangi yang dikonsumsi masih mentah sebagai lalapan yang kurang bersih dalam mencuci. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya kontaminasi telur Soil Transmitted Helminths yang dicurigai terdapat pada sayuran kubis dan kemangi yang dijual di Pasar Abian Timbul Kota Denpasar. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium secara kualitatif dengan metode Sedimentasi untuk mengidentifikasi telur cacing. Pengambilan sampel adalah 10 sayur kubis dan 10 sayur kemangi yang dijual oleh pedagang di pasar abian timbul. Data primer data yang dihasilkan dari sampel kubis dan kemangi yang diamati. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada sayur kubis dan kemangi menunjukan hasil negatif mengandung telur cacing, sehingga sayur kubis dan kemangi aman untuk dikonsumsi.
