Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN ARAK DRINKERS AT BANJAR TEGAL ANTUGAN NYITDAH VILLAGE KEDIRI TABANAN ABSRACT Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism, uric acid levels are closely related to purine production and purine intake consumed. Increased uric acid levels can be influenced by age, frequency of drinking arak and consumption of foods high in purines. People who drink arak have a high risk of increased uric acid levels because arak is a drink that contains alcohol so that it can affect the production of uric acid in the body and will have an impact on other disorders such as in the joints and kidneys. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of uric acid levels in arak drinkers in Banjar Tegal Antugan, Nyitdah Village, Kediri, Tabanan. This type of research uses descriptive research with systematic random sampling techniques. The study was conducted from January to April 2023 with a total sample of 38 people who had met the inclusion criteria. Examination of uric acid levels in respondents was carried out using the POCT tool Electrode Based Biosensor method. The results of this study showed that arak drinkers with normal uric acid levels of 32% and high uric acid levels of 68%. High uric acid levels are more dominated in groups aged 41-60 years 65%, the frequency of drinking arak 1-2x a week 46% and consumption of high purine foods ≥3x a week 65%. Keywords: arak, uric acid levels GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PEMINUM ARAK DI BANJAR TEGAL ANTUGAN DESA NYITDAH KEDIRI TABANAN ABSTRAK Asam urat merupakan produk akhir metabolisme purin, kadar asam urat berkaitan erat dengan produksi purin dan asupan purin yang dikonsumsi. Peningkatan kadar asam urat dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia, frekuensi minum arak dan konsumsi makanan tinggi purin. Masyarakat yang meminum arak memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap peningkatan kadar asam urat karena arak merupakan minuman yang mengandung alkohol sehingga bisa mempengaruhi produksi asam urat di dalam tubuh dan akan berdampak pada gangguan lainnya seperti pada persendian dan ginjal. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada peminum arak di Banjar Tegal Antugan Desa Nyitdah Kediri Tabanan. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik systematic random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai April 2023 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 orang yang sudah memenuhi kritera inklusi. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat pada responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat POCT metode Electrode Based Biosensor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peminum arak dengan kadar asam urat normal sebesar 32% dan kadar asam urat tinggi sebesar 68%. Kadar asam urat tinggi lebih didominasi pada kelompok usia 41-60 tahun 65 %, frekuensi minum arak 1-2x seminggu 46% dan konsumsi makanan tinggi purin ≥3x seminggu 65%.
