Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF POWERLESSNESS IN STROKE PATIENTS AT THE NEUROLLOGIC POLYCLINIC OF RSD MANGUSADA BADUNG IN 2023 ABSTRACT Stroke is a non-communicable disease (PTM) and the number one cause of disability in the world. Physical disorders due to stroke can cause psychological problems in sufferers, namely helplessness. Powerlessness is a lack of control over the situation experienced and decreased ability to perform activities. The aim of the study was to determine the powerlessness of stroke patients at the Neurology Polyclinic at Mangusada Badung Hospital in 2023. The research method used was descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted on April 25-30 2023 with the sampling technique used, namely non-probability consecutive sampling with a total sample of 31 samples. The results showed that 12 people (38.7%) did not experience powerlessness and 19 people (61.3%) experienced powerlessness. Most of the elderly aged ≥ 60 years experienced helplessness as many as 15 people (48.4%). Most of the men experienced powerlessness as many as 10 people (32.3%), with primary education most experienced powerlessness as many as 14 people (45.2%), the duration of suffering was mostly ≥ 6 months experiencing powerlessness as many as 16 people (51.6 %). It is hoped that this research can be used as a source of information and can be used as basic data for further research development. Gangguan fisik akibat stroke dapat menimbulkan masalah psikologis pada penderitanya yaitu ketidakberdayaan. Ketidakberdayaan adalah kurangnya kendali atas situasi yang dialami dan menurunnya kemampuan untuk melakukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui ketidakberdayaan pasien stroke di Poliklinik Saraf RSD Mangusada Badung tahun 2023. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25-30 April 2023 dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu non-probability dengan consecutive sampling dengan jumlah 31 sampel. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa 12orang (38,7%) tidak mengalami ketidakberdayaan dan 19 orang (61,3%) mengalami ketidakberdayaan. Lansia usia ≥ 60 tahun sebagian besar mengalami ketidakberdayaan sebanyak 15 orang (48,4%). Laki-laki sebagian besar mengalami ketidakberdayaan sebanyak 10 orang (32,3%), berpendidikan dasar sebagian besar mengalami ketidakberdayaan sebanyak 14 orang (45,2%), lama menderita sebagian besar ≥ 6 bulan sebagian besar mengalami ketidakberdayaan sebanyak 16 orang (51,6%). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sumber informasi dan dapat dijadikan data dasar untuk pengembangan penelitian selanjutnya. Kata Kunci: Stroke, Ketidakberdayaan, psikologis
