Abstract

DIFFERENCES IN KNOWLEDGE OF COFFEE SHOP FOOD AND BEVERAGE HANDLERS BEFORE AND AFTER BEING GIVEN TRAINING ON SANITARY HYGIENE IN THE STATE DISTRICT OF JEMBRANA REGENCY ABSTRACT The limited knowledge of food and beverage handlers needs to be considered because in general they prioritize the aspect of profit over food safety For that, food and beverage handlers need to get training related to food sanitation hygiene. The purpose of this study is to find out differences in knoeledge of coffee shop food and beverage handlers before and after being given training on sanitary hygiene in the state district of jembrana regency. This type of research is pre-experimental using a one-group pretest-posttest design design. The number of samples in this study is 22 samples with sampling techniques, namely by purposive sampling. This research on December 26, 2021. Data collection used to determine the effect of training on food and beverage handler knowledge is used statistical analysis paired sample t test at the confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that before being given training, most of the knowledgeable samples with good categories and enough as many as 8 people (36.4%), after being given training with good categories as many as 20 people (90.9%). The average knowledge score before being given training was 63.63 and after being given training, the average score was 89.45, it can be seen that there was an increase in the average score of 25.82%. From the results of the analysis of the statistical paired sample t-test with a meaningful level of 0.05, it is known that there is a significant difference between the knowledge of the sample before and after training, namely with a value of p = 0.000 at the degree of confidence of 95% and  = 0.05. The results showed that there was an influence on sanitation hygiene training in food and beverage handlers, so it was recommended that the government and the state sub-district health office could consider providing training to improve knowledge of sanitary hygiene.
