Abstract
IDENTIFICATION OF SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTH WORM EGGS ON THE FINGERNAILS OF EMPLOYEES AT MONANG MANING DENPASAR BALI ABSTRACT Intestinal worms is a collection of symptoms of health problems caused by worm parasites in the body. This helminthic disease is most often transmitted through the soil. This disease is closely related to several factor, such as tropical climate that supports the development of the worm egg, and unhealthy living habits as well as socio-economic and education. The purpose of this research was to determine STH worm eggs on the fingernails of employees at Temporary Dump Shelter at Monang Maning Denpasar Bali. This type of research is des criptive at TPS Monang Maning Denpasar Bali in February-April 2022. The population of this research is the employees of Temporary Dump Shelter in Monang Maning Denpasar Bali as many as 30 respondents are taken from 60% of the total populations of the employees. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The e xamination of Worm eggs on the fingernails of Temporary Dump Shelter using the sedimentation method. The results showed that 47% of respondents were positive for STH worm eggs. With the total of Ascaris lumbricoides 64.3%, Trichuris trichiura 14.3%, Hookworm 21.4%. The highest percentage of worms occurred in respondents who were in the elderly 35 .8%, in men 32%, out of school 21%, working 1-5 years 18%, poor personal hygiene 46.5%. Nail health of the employees of Temporary Dump Shelter workers is still fairly good with a percentage of 83% Key Word : Intestinal worms, STH, employees, sedimentation method IDENTIFIKASI TELUR CACING SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTH PADA KUKU TANGAN PEKERJA DI TPS MONAN G MANING KOTA DENPASAR BALI ABSTRAK Penyakit cacingan adalah kumpulan gejala gangguan kesehatan yang diakibatkan oleh parasit cacing yang ada di dalam tubuh. Penyakit cacingan ini penularannya paling sering melalui tanah, yang dikenal dengan STH. Penyakit ini erat kaitannya dengan beberapa faktor, yakni iklim tropis yang mendukung perkembangan telur cacing dan kebiasaan hidup yang kurang sehat, serta sosial ekonomi dan Pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keberadaan telur cacing STH pada kuku tangan pekerja di TPS Monang Maning Denpasar Bali. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif di TPS Monang Maning Denpasar Bali pada bulan Februari-april 2022. Populasi penelitian adalah pekerjaan TPS Monang Maning Denpasar Bali sebanyak 30 responden di ambil dari 60% jumblah populasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Metode yang digunaka pada pemeriksaan telur cacing yaitu metode sedimentasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 47% responden positif telur cacing STH. Dengan jumblah Ascaris lumbricoides 64,3%, Hookworm 21,4%, Trichuris trichiura 14,3. Presentase kecacing paling tinggi terjadi pada responden yang berada pada masa lansia 35,8%, pada laki-laki 32%, tidak sekolah 21%, lama bekerja 1-5 tahun 18%, personal hygiene yang buruk 46,5%. Kesehatan Kuku Pekerja TPS masih terbilang baik dengan presentase 83%. Kata Kunci : Kecacingan, STH, Pekerja TPS, Metode Sedimentasi
