Abstract

BACTERIOLOGICAL QUALITY TESTING OF DRINKING WATER REFILL AT DEPOT IN KUTA DISTRICT, BADUNG REGENCY ABSTRACT Background: Water is an important material in life, all living things need water. Drinking water must be healthy water, meet the microbiological, chemical and physical requirements based on the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492/MenKes/Per/IV/2010 concerning requirements and supervision of drinking water. Mandatory parameters for determining the quality of drinking water in microbiology are total Coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria using the Most Probable Number Test. If Coliform bacterial cells are found in 100 ml of water samples, it is possible for diarrhea and other digestive disorders to occur. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the bacteriological quality of refill drinking water in Kuta District and to compare the MPN value obtained with the Minister of Health Regulation No. 492/MenKes/Per/IV/2010. Methods: This study used a descriptive research method with a total sampling technique method that used 9 refill drinking water samples. Research: The research was conducted from February to April 2022. Results: The results showed that from 9 samples of refill drinking water in Kuta District, 5 samples contained Coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 44.5% (4 samples) of refill water met the requirements and 55.5% (5 samples) did not meet the requirements as drinking water. UJI KUALITAS BAKTERIOLOGIS AIR MINUM ISI ULANG PADA DEPOT DI KECAMATAN KUTA KABUPATEN BADUNG ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Air merupakan materi penting dalam kehidupan, semua makhluk hidup membutuhkan air. Air yang diminum haruslah air yang sehat, memenuhi persyaratan mikrobiologi, kimia dan fisik berdasarkan Permenkes RI No. 492/MenKes/Per/IV/2010 tentang syarat dan pengawasan air minum. Parameter wajib untuk penentuan kualitas air minum secara mikrobiologi adalah total bakteri Coliform dan Escherichia coli dengan menggunakan Most Probable Number Test. Jika didapatkan sel bakteri Coliform dalam 100 ml sampel air memungkinkan terjadinya diare dan gangguan pencernaan lain. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas bakteriologis air minum isi ulang di Kecamatan Kuta dan membandingkan nilai MPN yang di dapat dengan Permenkes RI No. 492/MenKes/Per/IV/2010. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode teknik samping total sampling yang menggunakan 9 sampel air minum isi ulang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan April 2022. Hasil: hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 9 sampel air minum isi ulang di Kecamatan Kuta ditemukan 5 sampel yang mengandung bakteri Coliform dan Escherichia coli. Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 44,5% (4 sampel) air isi ulang yang memenuhi syarat dan 55,5% (5 sampel) tidak memenuhi syarat sebagai air minum. Kata kunci: Air minum isi ulang, Coliform, Escherichia coli, MPN.
